Figured I'd start one here too.

I just found out that Mr. Albert Lee broke his arm last week while in Paris. (France; not the bimbo).

For those new to guitar playing, Albert's known as "the guitar player's guitar player". Known mostly for his country work (Emmylou Harris, where he replaced the phenomenal James Burton), Mr. Lee's also got his toes in the rock world, playing with Clapton for many years.

More recently, he won a Grammy- as part of Earl Scruggs & Friends- for his playing on "Foggy Mountain Breakdown" from the film "O Brother Where Art Thou?".

Originally Albert played a Fender Telecaster and was commonly referred to as "Mr. Telecaster". In the early 90's, he teamed up with Ernie Ball/Music Man and his Jetsons-esque signature model was born (1993).

Here's a video of one of Albert's early hits, "Country Boy" (from an 80's TV show):

I've had the fortune to speak with Mr. Lee on a couple of occasions; first at a small clinic he did on Long Island, and then later at NAMM shows. He's one of the most humble and nice people you will ever meet. Along with his massive guitar playing skills, you'll find a smile.

    Enjoy!
