Hey lads, Carl is the name, I'm from Wellington New Zealand. I found this site viaa The Viper Truck Registry run by Jeff (Viperam) so thought I should probably join up and introduce myself and my Ram. Below is what I call; The Batram. There is too much too list and I don't want to bore you all to tears so I'll just let the photos do the talking lol. It's a 2006 Dodge Ram SRT/10 Night Runner Edition. For anyone interested, you can see more at my website: www.carlwalski.com For the record, I'm not into "Batman" per se, yes he's cool etc but what I REALLY like are his gadgets and more importantly, his vehicles. The whole dark, mysterious, sinister theme is kick arse in my opinion. There are STACKS of photos below and in the posts to follow it and also a couple of videos. I'm not arrogant enough to think everyone likes my ride and know it's not everyones cup of tea but I sure as hell love it! Lots of awesome rides on this forum and good people, awesome stuff! Cheers, Carlwalski THE BATRAM
Welome Carl.....this is one of the badest looking trucks bar none..:worthy:..and knocked me out of the TOTY on the VTCOA forum..:getlost:...........but as you can see it deserved to win.....:worthy:
Thanks Larry! What a cool site, wish I found it eariler!! Nice layout, good people and all the SRT range, what's not to love?!?! Here's my olds 300C SRT8 which they let me have the keys and enjoy quite often. Below was one such time with one condition, no burnouts. Still, with traction control engaged, still a fun car to drive. Cheers! 300C SRT8 .
Welcome to the Connection from Chandler, Arizona. Thanks for sharing your awesome pic's of your awesome rides
I absolutely LOVE what you have done to the whip. WOW. And yes, as long as YOU like it, that is all that matters. lol Look at my wife's (mrssrt10) truck, she added Dragonflies. I have never seen a right hand drive SRT10, but I dig it. Welcome to the "C". Hope to see more of you on the forum.
Thanks Mr Meany!! Yup, I build my cars for me and me only, if people like it, cool! If not, cool! Hopefully regardless of taste, as car and truck enthusiasts, they will all appreciate the hard work.
Couldn't agree more. How about a new thread with some pictures of your kick ass Country, New Zealand. This is on my "Bucket" List to visit.
I forgot to mention, the RHD is a mandatory part of owning a LHD vehicle in New Zealand, like the UK, Australia, South Africa, etc. The law is, "all LHD vehicles that are older than 20 years at time of import/registration for NZ roads must be converted to RHD, ie: a 1990 car or older can be left LHD". You can keep it LHD if you purchase and own the vehicle in the country of original for 90 days or more, then bring it back to New Zealand. That's the only way you can keep it LHD. A typical 2004+ Dodge Ram RHD conversion will set you back around $25,000 USD. For many, it's easier to get it converted to RHD, not cheap but easier. So when you see RHD Rams, please keep in mind that the owner didn't do it due to boredom, rather the law lol. I prefer a big vehicle like this LHD, makes daily driver easier for me. My E-Bodies are both LHD and I prefer them that way as it keeps the whole vibe and 70s muscle era alive. There is a new law that passed late last year that says if the LHD vehicle meets a certain "special" edition criteria, then it can remain, ie: 1 of 10 Corvette etc. GOD BLESS AMERICA FOR MAKING SUCH KICK ARSE VEHICLES!!!!
Carl I love the batman theme. I thought about that too when somebody called my waggin the tumbler! lol!! Glad to have you on here.
