Whats the biggest I can go? I know erik did a new front mount. Not to sure whta kind of kit it was. Mines the gs kit Novi 1500. What kinda intercooler would you use as I want to get rid of that aftercooler bullshit.

Also can I send in that headunit and get them to make it a 2000?

Lisa if you are reading htis can you get me a price on the biggest intercooler that will fit on my 300c? thanks

Do you want to do an Air to Air? I think Eric ended up going to the Vortech Aftercooler system in the end.

Air to air is fine. air to water is ok but I would rather not drop that much coin. I just need a system that will work with my 1500 and that will work later with my 2000

I know that you're not looking for air to water, but according to my OBDII gauge my Vortech aftercooler with extra core (double stack) keeps my intake temps down at 1-3 degrees above ambient. The single core keet the temps down to 6-9 above ambient. Its not pretty, but it works great!

+1, I think this will be your best option...plus you wont have to run all kinds of custom tubing like you would for the air to air. Lisa can get you just the aftercooler if you want to go that route.

It has the aftercooler its the GS kit. I would just rather use a front mount.

It just depends on how much cutting you want to do. We just put a 22x8 core in a 300. No cutting necessary. You can put in a 22x11 with minor trimming/mods. They look really mean in the 300 because of the size of the grille opening.

Erik used the Vortech front mount water cooler, the same one that is included in their HEMI supercharger kits, which is a Fluidyne (22" long x 7.45" tall x 2.05" thick).

What kind of power are you expecting to get? The entire Vortech Aftercooler system is rated for 650 hp but I have personally pushed about 850hp (700rwhp) through it on a Mustang using a T-trim blower. So, for ease of installation, and fitment, etc. I would go with their set-up and mount it in the same location so you can benefit from all the pre-made tubing we could get from them as well.

We can help you with upgrading your Novi 1000 to a 2000, and I've upgraded twice through Vortech (Paxton) seemlessly. Just let me know when you're ready to roll and I'll help you with all of this.

    Lisa.

Jon, you will have to replace the 1500 head unit with a 2000, no upgrading it. That i know of.

And unless you are willing to cut the crap out of the engine bay, the 2000 is huge. lol

Lisa is correct, go with the Vortech Radiator with the after cooler. I will be replacing my GSM radiator to the Vortech in the near future. I am not a fan of the Vortech Aftercooler or its location. Of course the GSM aftercooler location isn't much better, but at least it is not sitting on top of the heads and next to the intake (heat soak).

If you can give me the dimensions you want, I can get you pretty much anything. We have several turbo intercooler suppliers (which is what that one is from) so there are a lot of options out there. You realize you will have to cut a section out of your bumper to fit that cooler, and have all the pipes custom bent, plus block half your radiator, right? Just want to throw out some 'cons' to this to consider. I'll get whatever cooler you need. :)
