http://www.chargerforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=25616 This is the link to the original story I posted over on CF back in Nov 2006. If you want to read the entire thread I posted the link, but the original post is below. Its intresting to read some of the negative and mean things folks were saying when I posted the story! OK here is the story!!!! I am not much of a writer nor am I much of a story teller but I will do my best to included all that is part of this crazy story and not bore any of you willing to read this, Obviously I am in love with the SuperBee and have wanted one since that first time I saw the pictures about two days after I joined the forum back in march, When I purchased Daytona #759. I have been frustrated ever since Joining and realizing that a Yellow SRT was on the way, I have always been a huge fan of the color yellow and that's what drove me to buy the Daytona. Anyway I been looking for the Superbee and waiting like so many of the rest of us for the release of the car and for it to become available and even more disappointed to find out that the Damn dealerships are trying to rip me off on the trade in Value of the Daytona, All the time Dreaming how cool it would be to actually Buy one not really considering the number that I might get but in the back of my mind thinking it would be really neat to get a lower number, Anyway I had pretty much resided myself to the fact that I was not going to be able to get one because of the markup the local dealers were putting on the only two cars currently avail here in the Phoenix area. So Started doing a Auto trader searches online mostly looking at what was for sale currently and how my Banana that I had invested 45k on would not sell and was just sitting there. I just happened to do a search for an 2007 charger for the any distance option from my Zip, the key here is that I did by accident a search for a 2007 under the used option not ever imagining anyone would have a used 07 chargers already for sale but to my surprise there was approx 50 and at the top of the list was three Superbee's now one specifically caught my eye and that was the one that was listed for only 42k and change with the others much higher so I click on the car. Keep in mind I have only a dial up modem and a piece of crap computer that it is so slow it took like 5 min for the pictures to up load. I notice in the bottom portion of the add that they are claiming this is car number 0001 of a 1000. Being very skeptical I investigated further thinking this cant be right nobody is silly enough to be selling car number 1 right here on Autotrader.com. There were a few pictures of the car but nothing with the number plate so I continued to be very skeptical thinking how F-ing cool would that be to actually have Superbee 0001. It was late at night this all occurred so I just thought this cant be correct and I decided to go to bed. The Next morning I get online and was checking out e-mail etc. and I decide to do the search again and sure enough the car still there and as I am trying to figure out the dealer information and were the Hell this Detroit dealer was that has posted this add my wife walks by and says "cool is that a Superbee" and as usual I am ignoring her, lol she says hey look that's for sale in Michigan, I ask her what yea so what's you point? Why are you pointing that out? She say's that's near were Sam is. Now keep in mind Sam is my Childhood friend and will do anything for me not to mention he is a Huge auto freak and Happens to Own Special edition **** headman Supercharged Silverado and right next to that in his garage is a brand New SRT10 Viper, anyway he was in fact near that region of the country for Business all week and on Friday just happened to be relaxing in Indiana waiting to meet up with some other friends for a long awaited Notre Dame football game. I call him and explain that this dealer is claiming to have car 0001. Now both up us are excited but still very skeptical so I decide what the hell I will call the dealer and find out what they are trying to pull. All they had on the add was the Main number to the dealership with no contact information so I ask for a sales person in the Internet department and they transfer me to a nice gal by the name of Janet. The first words out if Janet's mouth was "602" area code were the heck are you calling from. I explained to her that I was calling from Phoenix and that I was inquiring about a car on Autotrader.com and was hoping to speak to someone in the Internet sales department she say well I am not sure why they transferred you to me because I don't really do that anymore, but what is your question? I proceed to ask about the car and that I wanted to know what options it has? She was not very knowledgeable about the car but did know that they had the Car and stated that " yea it was sitting out on the used car portion of the dealer. In my mind I was like WTF!! just sitting there on the used car portion what is wrong with these people lol. I then give here my number and asked her to look into the car and its story. She calls me back promptly less then ten minutes later and says yea the car has 58 miles every option including sun roof, side airbags etc. I then inquired trying to play it off" Just out of curiosity what number was on the special edition plate? She then goes on to tell me "ohh well I was just talking the used car guys and this car is 0001" I was like no F-ing way are you sure? She tells me yea there is a funny story a lady here in the Detroit area won the car at a random drawing for some charity and drove it for a day and decided she did not like it so she brought it to us and we bought it back from her so it has been titled originally in here name so it must be sold as a used auto. I was still so skeptical thinking I want the car but there is no way I am buying this thing over the phone sight unseen!! So I call me friend Sam I ask him how far he is from Detroit? He has already printed a map and calculated the miles, 179 away. I was like this is ridiculous crazy. Do you wana drive there and check it out in person? HE says and I quote "**** Yes" You say the word and I am on the way:" I was thinking I cant do this to him but I had to choice it had to be done. So off Sam was to Detroit. Three plus hours later and about 25 phone calls between the dealer and Sam and the dealer, the dealer agrees to stay open late one hour for so Sam to fight his way though all the crazy traffic, he finally gets there sends me the picture via cell phone of the number plate I posted, and calls me screaming this is for real, Holy crap now what do we do? He said if you don't buy this car I am buying it, and well what can I say after that. So it is done right there we bought the car, Obviously there are many more details that wont bore you with at this time the story has gone long enough but well now I have to wait till the car gets shipped to Phoenix Via special enclosed transport that is costing me an arm and a leg. I am so worried that something is going to happen to the car that I cant sleep. I promise I will post tons of pictures as soon as the car is in the drive way!
Yo yo man. Welcome to the "C" Congrats on a great find and an even better story. Just WOW. Are you going to the Spring Festival? You should as the TOP Execs of Chrysler will be there. I can introduce you to Ralph Gilles (VP of Design). I am sure that he would LOVE to hear your story and even assist you in locating the model SuperBee 0001.
Nice. Haters are just jealous. I can understand that. A member here won his Magnum in a raffle. I was happy for him (couldn't have happened to a nicer guy). Then I found out that he had reserved the license plate that I wanted a month before AND HE DIDN'T EVEN HAVE A FRIGGIN CAR!! I hate him with a passion.... LOL, Just kidding. Welcome again.
WOW, great story...I would have taken the financial hit on the trade and transport as well..You definitely have a collector's car...although I wouldn't drive it lol...who the hell am I kidding? I wouldn't be able to resist!

Welcome #0001, deserves automatic VIP membership status or something (or at least "Staff" under your forum name - Oh wait, might be more rare to be a non-staff member). I will have to go back and find the story, I want to read about it. Signature picture rocks! As far as calling DCX and expecting them to have any idea about anything that you might need to know, get used to that.
