So, those of you with SRT connections, what is the liklihood of this car ever seeing production? http://www.autoblog.com/2008/10/14/sema-preview-dodge-bringing-viper-powered-challenger-srt10-conc/
Great find RT. The likely hood of an SRT10 Challenger could swing either way. Since Chrysler is halting the production of the Viper, it certainly would make sense to drop that engine in the Challenger and make a badass 2 door of it. But then again, if the price of gas and all of the Tree Huggers trying to convert to "Green" cars, it would make the possibility seem grim. I personally would buy one.
I like it. Ugly shaker IMO, but looks very functional and we have seen these Viper V10 engines in the 1,000 - 2,000 hp range, so this could be.... awesome.
If ChryCo doesn't make it, I bet some aftermarket company will. They shoulda added a couple turbos to that while they were at it.
It is the HP & TQ curve that makes the V-10 stand out.. I saw one somewhere a few months ago...cant remember where....I think it was an individual conversion though..
After seeing this article, I am going to have to wait to order my Camaro SS until I know if Dodge is going to make this bad boy. I can't fit in a Viper, but I can fit in a Challenger, lol. I love the Viper motor and stack a twin-tirbo on top of it and you get heaven, lol. But I would have to repaint the Chally/Viper B5 Blue as I am not a fan of Red.
dont know what the problem is... i fit just fine in a viper  im not a fan of red either but i do like the idea of repainting it blue.
I don't fit in a Viper, lol, I am 6'4" and 300+....:hypno: I wouldn't have a Challenger in any other color....the B5 Blue is awesome. Throw on some blue and black wheels...smokin hot. Wedge in a Viper motor.....priceless. B5 Blue already looks so good on a Charger Super Bee. It will be stunning on a Challenger.
