We are proud to announce our own intake manifold heat spacer. After researching heat resistant materials we selected Micarta. Micarta is a fine weave linen impregnated with resin. The Micarta selected meets MIL SPEC Mil-l-24768/15 and is recognized for its heat insulating properties.

The spacer fits the 6.1 hemi pattern and is only 1/8" thick eliminating any dog leg. This material is so efficient we can machine it thinner and eliminate any vacuum leaks or airflow disturbance associated with thicker materials.

The Micarta spacer will retail for $110. and should become available by September 1st 2008.

Thats a loaded question! I have to play well with others so...this is only my opinion.

The material (in my opinion) is superior and more in line with aerospace standards, 1/8 thick so any dog leg or air flow disturbance is eliminated as well as the vacuum leaks.

I know CAM will be contacting me when he sees them......I can see a real world test comparison coming soon.

    Thats ok!

I will test these since the first set just came off the mill. I figured this Saturday at Sacramento, Cam and his heat gun will be all over me!

Nice product Steve. We have to get the website up soon with all the good stuff you have coming out! Now, I bought the BWoody spacer and so far, it's working great (had it since May 19th when I installed the h/c/i combo)....is there much of a difference between the SPP and the BWoody's?

BWoody provides a great product and I have no opinion or test comparison planned. I feel as they are installed by the enthusiast they will have their place in the market.

I hope these pan out as I had to dump my ASM ones as well and would like a reliable replacement.

The problem is even with the Bwoody or GSM is eventually they all become heat soaked. What would be great is material that will dissipate the heat faster.

Im sure all spacers will eventually let the heat through.IMO Spacers
are a track item only. With the short 1/4 mile passes it will not give the
manifold time to heat up..Just my 0.2
