Hi Mike, The Predator has an option for changing the speed limiter so I thought you might know. Is the input to the speed limiter calculation engine rpm and gear. Or is the input the value after doing the calculation for the speedometer. In other words, would changing your gear ratio or tire size effect the speed limiter?
No too sure honestly, I would imagine it goes off the speedo, and if it is wrong, you could get away with a higher speed. Either way, I have reservations as to whether or not these big heavy cars can even reach the stock limiter of 170 mph.... Thanks Mike
Well, for me it's theoretical . But a number of people have done it. I think a few tested it out in 2006. I think I remember results from 168 - 173. Those were stock tunes and maybe even some without CAI and cat back. With a Predator it shouldn't be a problem.
Wow, thats impressive. I guess they are geared nicely with the 5 speeds. Thats a serious top end, these cars are animals.
Didn't we have a a guy overseas that hit the 190 mark? I believe the EVIC readout will go beyond the speedo. If his pic was a true 190 I guess it had to....
Mike, check out this vid... I think that this one might be fake, the guy goes from 270 to 300 way too fast... might be on a dyno?
