Okay, I think this may be related to a bad repair job from back in 2006 or maybe something got torqued somewhere or maybe it came that way. Basically on the side of the car, where the bumper/fascia/fender wraps around the rear of the car, the corner on one side sticks out from the side of the car, while on the other side, it is indented. I'll post photos in a bit. Its something you only notice if you're looking, so I'm not sure whether its worth making a huge deal out of and trying to figure out what plastic bits need to be bent or torqued to fix it. Also, the same sort of corners on the front end bumper both stick out equally. I freaked about this at a car show until I saw another charger with the same situation. Wondering if its just a factory "beauty mark" or not.

Here's what I 'think' it may be. If it's on the right hand side like mine was, (or it could be the other side for you IDK)...check your exhaust. My resonator and the catback pipe was pushing backward for some reason. I had to get it adjusted at the shop but it would rub on the inner side of my rear clip pushing it outward some and causing the right side to be mis-aligned. Once I had it adjusted, the clip went back in normally. I think you have Zoomers so I'm not sure if this could even be an issue for you. Worth a looksy though.

and I don't think you can "bend" plastic bits (they just spring back, or crack if you bend them too far). So it's adjust the mounting if it's not attached to something right where it needs pulled in or out.

I'll post up photo documentation tomorrow. Up to my eyeballs in Sears Roebuck research for a final paper tonight.

Ummm... it's been almost 3 years Tam. ?? (haha, thought it was a new post and you've had your car about 3 years now. Should have noticed that when new?)

Did you check for exhaust contact like Milan mentioned?

No, some genius backed into the left "dog leg" (between the rear left door and wheel well) in May of '06 and they had to remove the bumper and trunk lid and left tail light to make sure they got the repair and paint done correctly. Granted I should have noticed sooner, but well, I've been a little busy and its by no means a show car. Just little imperfections like this bug me.

    Blah, nevermind....

What!? Don't do the Ey-Ore thing. It might just be a matter of loosening, adjusting, and re-tightening a couple of bolts at Ken's LX Emporium. I'll see what I can find in the manual.

That's what I figure. A little tweak should theoretically fix it. Hopefully.

Tamara is it possible to just remove it and check to see if the clips/screws in the corners are there?

That looks like its just a bad job of reinstalling the bumper.

Probably. I'm gonna ask if they can look at it at the next T'n'T.

I don't believe it... I found the right place for Gap and Flush specs. They got arrows for the spot in the pic but they left it out of the table! I'll see if I can find the mounts.

Ok. They don't show a lot of detail so you can't tell if it's easily adjustable. It's mostly push pins with just a couple of bolts. I'm thinking the critical point is the nut insert in step 9 of installation. At least you'll know what you're looking for.

    holy crap dave...... nice find!!!

tam - my bumper actually began to sag after about a year. the inner mounting fasteners were bad. my bumper also was off center as well. when they fixed it, they basically replaced all the fasteners and carefully torqued each one at a time to ensure the bumper did not torque out of alignment as they tightened it. the fascia is somewhat flimsy plastic and easily bent out of shape!
