RDP Motorsport have just completed the developement of our twin turbo air to air intercooled kit for the 5.7 chrysler/dodge and are currently completing the 6.1 SRT twin turbo kit as well. These systems are designed for fitment power and economy as well in the seat performance with the option of out electronic 2 stage boost control for mon-fri work driving and saturday race track tunes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w65NPdFcMSQ
yes thats correct however this car also ran several 590's but didn't think the motor would live there very long at that level
With gas prices being what they are and what they are expected to be, I'm leaning a lot more towards the TT route. I also like road racing much more that drag racing and a TT seems like a better route to go. What do you guys think about this logic??
I'm trying to figure out what logic you used... It's been a really long time since I drove a turbo but I kind of remember they don't do anything for gas mileage, like highway cruising or around town but I think a SC does. For drag racing you pretty much get it wound up before launching and then you just have your foot on the floor the rest of the way so turbo lag isn't a problem. That's not so much the case when you're road racing right?
Hmmm.....I've always heard turbos increase fuel economy a bit and the parasitic nature of blowers decrease it a bit. I've never dealt with a turbo or a blower road racing, I was thinking that coming out of turns I wouldn't want to much instant power like a blower but would rather have it come on with a little more finesse.
With a SC it's just like driving a bigger motor. With a turbo it sort of comes on at a certain rpm. Not sure what happens with a turbo if you have it wound up, lift, then mash it again without letting the rpms drop too much. It's going to be spinning a lot faster at 3K with your foot on the floor than it would be a 3K and no throttle. I assume turbo technology has come a long ways in the last 20 years or so.
a turbo is the way to go it doesnt cost u hp to run it unlike a blower and also it gets better MPG than a blower
