quick question

    why didnt doge make the caliber srt-4 awd? i know they have the platform for it, i think it would have been killer if they did. let me know your thoughts

    To keep cost down would be my guess. For being FWD, this car handles the power exceptionally well.

    Plus I wouldnt want to deal with blowing up trannies and clutches on an AWD due to launches and all, eff all that.

    I think gabe hit the nail on the head with his reasoning...

    of course i have not driven either...so im gonna assume he knows what hes talking about as he has driven both...lol

    Cost would be the #1 cause. Also I doubt they wanted to put the R&D into beefing up the AWD drivetrain found on the lesser Calibers. AWD kills top end in straight line speed, I'd perfer FWD over AWD for drag racing applications any day. Now had they made it RWD??? We could only dream.
