Well, after many questions and much research, I pullled the trigger on a set of 275/40/20 Vredesteins yesterday. They are on the way from California and I hope to have them on this weekend - I will post pics as soon as I can. Thanks to everyone who offered advice or simply posted their thoughts (and best places to purchase) on these tires; the wealth of information available was invaluable. I am going to put in synthetic power steering fluid to help offset any potential pump/rack problems but with the tires only being 1.2" wider and the contact patch essentially the same due to the constant of a 9" rim, I can't see huge increase in burden to the pump and steering gear. If there is, that is a small price to pay for increased stability and handling (read: safety) of the new rubber. Besides, this is technically a company car so they pay for the parts and labor anyway. leasantry: The only downside to all this is that my snow tires/rims are going on this weekend as well so I won't be able to give the new tires a proper workout until spring. The upside is that I get to burn off what is left of my hard as hockey pucks and dangerously unstable in their current worn out condition RSA's! :woot:
Sweeet. I know that Bud is enjoying is V's. And if Bud is happy with a particular tire, then they must be good.
