    Ok well i got around to working on the truck today:rock: Anyway Made Some Progress...got the Electrical All labled and un Pluged,bolted, and what not. also got the tranny unbolted.. i think i might bolt it back up and pull it out as all 1 unit.. not sure yet.. cause i guess i can replace the clutch with it still in the truck... all the radiatiors and coolers are pulled... i poked a hole in my radiatior pulling it out.... i get angry when stuff doesn't go right.. and like a jack ass i didnt check out the bottom of the radiatior and theres a bracket that holds the lines for the tranny cooler:dontknow: ... o well i wanted to put in a Becool anyway..... as it sits now the engine hoist is hooked up and waiting on me.. to unbolt the motor mounts tomorrow..and yank her out and tear it down also had AresstMeRed stop by.to check everything out....also any central texas guys that wanta stop by, lend a hand, have a drink or 2, or just to hang out is more than welcome just shoot me a PM i'm in hillsboro about 40 min from dallas and ftworth ..on with the pictures

    Very Minor damage to everything really.... i'm pretty sure the cyl wall is fine but will have it checked anyway

    ..... so my list of things to do


    1. Send off heads for port and polish and intake port match
    2. Figuer Out what Rods i'm going to run probally going with eagles
    3. Order Dimond Pistons
    4. Send off block To machine shop
    5. Find out what cam i want to run..can't find any good info
    6.New Centerforce clutch
    More to add to the list!! will keep every one up dated an posted

    What he said and as we discussed last week now you have the opportunity to build it strong and forged and FYI your girlfriend said she was not interested in being your garage helper-LOL

    hahaha a very small one... the screw came form the tbrottlebody shaft :mad2:..... but nothign i could do about it.... i'v got the motor loose just tring to bust the tranny off of it right now... or might bolt it together and pull it as one unit..

    OUCH. yep... that can happen.

    If you have any questions or need something built/parts, we can help you. However, I advise you to add up the costs of what you are looking to do to get a rough idea what you will really be spending "just to get it running", you may want to consider going further than eagles/diamond if you have ANY plans for future horsepower bumps. As many find out, the costs difference between minimal and best is often dwarfed by the costs of just doing it in the first place.

    For example, our top of the line VS-1500 short block is about 14K, while building a "cheap" version of the same block will still run you almost 10K, and wouldnt have half the capability and longevity. The vast majority of cost is the labor, machining, wear items and gaskets.

    King Of Engine Porn huh? first of all let me start off by saying thank you dan "final GTS" for all the help.. and talking to my stubborn butt...anyway on to the progress for today! ....... GOT THE ENGINE PULLED WoooooHoooooo... ok yeah thats all i got done cause it totaly kicked my butt.. but anyway heres what i got! Motor Pulled, Tranny Droped.....get it all out of the truck and wham! get hit in the face cause the bolts i have arent long enuff to put in on the engine stand yet! :( o well it's atleast out of the truck... as soon as i get it on the stand it's time to tear it down... the clutch looked pretty good compaired to how i'v been driving it...anyway on to the pictures!

    thats really all i'v got.... now i'v got another question... now that the cyl.. is ok should i send the block off the the machine shop....or should i just replace all the seals and gaskets throw some new pictons and rods, port and polish the heads do the cam and drop it back in the truck?

    hey it's pretty good for a camra phone...and i do have a digi cam just to lazy to hook it up to the PC lol
