I bet I killed the spelling but what is the best price you guys have seen? I think I want the 275/35/20's or should I just get drag radials again? How many miles will the vredsteins last me? thanks guys
Honestly, I think you will find the 35's too thin. The 40's are almost identical to stock diameter. They're a millimeter or two smaller than stock. I purchased mine from Auto Fleet Sales (AFS) up in Canoga Park, CA. (818) 340-9450. I think I paid $808 shipped to my door for four. A few other folks have received theirs from Fairmount Tire and Rubber Inc out of L.A.(323-750-2840) for around $150 a tire...not sure about shipping cost.
For the street or dragstrip? For everyday, I actually like my Toyo Proxes 4's. The Nitto INVO is even stickier than the Toyo, but the tread pattern is a bit boy-racer looking. A friend has the Vredenstein's, and they're nice (just drove them today actually), but I'm not sure they're actually better than the Nitto's. You need some good drag radials for the track. What are you running at the track?
And that's what is least appealing about the V's to me. Typically an SUV tire is built stiffer and heavier than a street car tire (for obvious loading reasons).
I'll agree with on the stickiness in the straight aways JMatt. Did you get a chance to push the car in the twisties...I know your car doesn't have, or need a steering wheel...lol. The Vredesteins are a very confidence inspiring car in the turns.
I need to save a copy of this response in word so I don't have to keep typing it. The Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta SUV tyre was developed for European performance SUV's weighing between 4000-5000 thousand pounds. Pretty good fit for our pigs!
I am looking for basic daily drivers that will stick ok. I am geting a pair of 17's and et streets as soon as money lets me. Its just my daily driver18's and 555r drag radials are done after 13,000miles and MANY MANY burn outs. I am almost tempted to just get a set of them in 20's. I just want somthing to last a bit longer.
True, but for example, a BMW X5 has a base weight of 5,335 pounds, and a GVWR of 6,537 pounds. That's a full 50% heavier than my 300C SRT-8 with me in it. Regardless - they are certainly good tires, and I've driven them a number of times with no complaint. I does suck that they have a big "SUV" branded on the sidewall. Not like almost anyone would notice though.
And the Invo's. They are ALL really good tires. You'll get some more mileage out of the Toyo's but a bit less performance.
LOL - he's already complaining about mileage. That's why I took the Invo's off the list. Personally, I'll probably use the Invo as my next street tire.
Ok I will look in to the invo's I have had toyo4's and I liked them. Hmmm to much to think about. I do know one thing though I will never buy an other goodyear tire again in my LIFE. I got treated pretty sh*tting down there a few weeks ago

I'd be surprised if you got 15,000 miles from those regardless of how you drove. I'm guessing those last from 8,000 - 15,000 depending on your driving habits. (and I'm using two nitrous nozzles.)
And nor cal was telling me a 200 shot is to big for a single y. If ur crazy enough to do it I think I might have to put in the 225 jets
I am. I had the Nittos (6 of them) on my car for good while. The Vreds stick better, are quieter and handle better. They seem to absorb bumps better too.
