PPP has worked with me threw thick and thin. I would want them in my corner for mods any day of the week. I am sorry you couldnt work the cam thing out with them. I just find it hard to believe they couldnt offer a option that worked for both of you since they seem to help everyone they come across.
Jeremy I appreciate your situation and having talked with Andy in PMs I personally hold no ill will. I know for a fact 1fastsedan is looking for a different cam due to the fact he is now adding heads/intake to his motor and previously had not planned to do this. The fact that you are looking into sharing the basics of your cams means alot to a potential customer like myself. I am personally looking to do heads/intake/cam here in the foreseeable future. Thanks, John
Jeremy, I'm sorry if you feel you were being attacked twice in the same manner. I was not (and am still not) aware of the similar and recent situation you are referring to, I'm sorry that this thread had the unfortunate timing that it did. Why am I looking for a new cam? Because I recently came into some unexpected money. When I installed my Tomahawk in October, I installed the small lift version on stock heads expecting that to be my engine combo for a long time. Now that is no longer the case, and I'm looking to buy a lot more. So now that I'm no longer constrained by stock valves and stock valve springs, I was looking at bigger cams and I was looking at all my options. I was also looking at head, cam, and intake options from all vendors. Including mixing and matching what I liked best from everyone, but I needed data in order to do that. If you don't believe that I'm really interested in buying product, here is a thread from 11/29/07 when I was starting my research on heads: http://www.lxforums.com/board/showthread.php?t=90494 I'm glad that you're looking into releasing your cam specs, I think you'll gain a lot of business from educated consumers that way. Sorry for the mess, but I was honestly just trying to build up my top end this winter.
Thanks Jeremy for shedding a little more light on the subject. I understand the frustrations of not knowing the cam specs as I didnt know them for the first 6 months I worked here, lol. Me and Jeremy have had this discussion several times, but it all goes back to our agreement with our cam grinder. In the instance where you pretty much know what you want, a custom grind is more suitable IMO. With the custom grind, we work with the customer and the cam grinder on a specific cam we can all agree on, at that point, the specs are yours to do what you want with. Sorry for all the confusion guys.
Thank you for the clearification. Sorry for jumping to conclusions. I am looking into putting a post up. Highest Regards, Jeremy
Not sure I understand why the "Cam Grinder" doesn't want the specs out? :censored: He is not the one selling them, PPP is. Nobody knows who the cam grinder is, so what is the bid deal? I just think you guys could grab more business by dislosing info to the "educated customer" than just a guy who knows minimal and and wants a go fast package. Just my $.02
I think Andy and I both agree on this. Give us a little time to try and work out our dilema. :hmm: Jeremy
I think we need a group hug... or if you're in the EQ, we call it a makeout session... complete with Michael Bolton jams... although Ryan gets heated with Mariachi music... but, to each his own.
Jeremy, i hope that you did not feel this was a personal attack at you or your company. I respect the fact that there are thing you do to your parts that you would like to keep in house. I also hope you can respect that there are things that i am working on that i would not like most of the people to know i have. But i have spent lots of time and money playing with parts that some people have said would work great and ended up with a big power loss and sometimes destoryed drive trains (i am sure you know how it is trying to make the not common combination beat the standered). I am looking foreword to doing bussiness with you in the future and hope there is no hard feeling.
AWWWWWWWWW  That is soooo sweet. Everyone being all nice to each other again. Glad to see we could all remain adults. Hey Andy, where is my damn valvetrain for my Jeep ??!! :tooth: Don't make me start up a new thread. Just kidding bro. I got the XL cam for the 426 and the nitrous cam for the Jeep yesterday. Thanks alot, I can't wait to fire up the 426 with the XL cam and the Diablo. On another note. Hey Adam, I hope things work out for you in your hunt for that purrrrfect top end combo. Oh yeah, one more thing. I BEAT YOU AT QUALCOMM !!!! :deshade: Take care bro.
Why do you think I need new heads, cam, and an intake? Cause they're pretty?:beerchug: Nice run with the Jeep. I couldn't hook up at all on the cold track.:tip:
Tell me about it. I was even having traction problems. Can't wait to see what your beast will do with your soon to be new settup.
