I tried searching this and the search engine won't let me search for "oil" because its too short but anyway... I noticed when I acclerate hard or take a turn I get an oil light and the engine rev limiter kicks in. I can duplicate it and when I get up to about 110mph it does the same thing. Haven't looked at the guage at 110 but got the same light and engine cut back. Has anybody else had a problem with not enough oil or the pump not pumping enough?
If your loosing oil pressure in a curve or under hard acceleration, sounds like not enough oil in the sump. Check your oil level. At higher engine rpms, the faster oil is pumped out of the pan but the oil returns at the same rate. Remember 7-7-7... 7qts @7000 rpm every 7 seconds.....
Ron, you are so smart. lol Mike, sounds like low oil to me, but then again, the oil sensors may be bad as well. Go TELL Chris to check er out. hehe
yeah I took it by there but he can't see it till next wed. I tried duplicating it again at lunch but all I did was leave black stripes all over the road. No problems now...??? These things don't have governers in them do they?
