Hello guys and gals. I will be in the market soon for a SRT8 Magnum. Figured I'd browse the forum to get an idea of what to look for, good or bad in these waggons. I currently own a Ford Lightning and C5 Vette, but the time has come to add a vehicle that will fit more than just 2. Thanks in advance for all of the info that I will be getting from you guys, Jeremy.

Cool...just around the corner from you on S Airline and Jefferson...I hang with some guys from Gonzales and have a sister and brother who live in St. Amant. The guys at TPS on hwy 44 (Total Performance Solutions) are your best place for CMR tuning, Wes is bad ass.

If you need any thing at all, or if you want to experience a stroker motor, let me know. Your Vette may not like it though.

Sup Kyle, I have a few friends who use Wes for tuning thier trucks. They speak nothing but good about him. I use Cody over in BR at Stang Hi. He's been very good to me. He also does Dodge's. Between him with all of the Challengers/Chargers he does and my neighbor who just got an R/T Challenger, they got me looking at the SRT8's. I will probably not be modding the MSRT8 when I get it. All of my mod money goes into my truck. :king: The Vette is the slow one of the bunch and as you can tell I have no brand loyalty. They all have thier good and bad points.

i'm exactly the same way, it it looks good and hauls ass, im a fan. You have a very nice stable there...
Stang Hi...i think Cody knows what he's doing, i just can't recommend him...I will only recommend someone I have complete faith in to not let anyone down. Cody let me down...not to say he isn't a good qualified tuner, i think he is...he just won't be tuning my car(s). He is also ultra conservative, that has it's good and bad points.
This opinion comes from my experience and a couple of friends with high powered Cobras that he TRIED to tune. I'm talking 8 & 9 second cars though...for a weekend warrior Cody should do fine.
Tell me more about your lightning...I have a few guys i play with that have em. You ever considered Vince at L&S?
Good luck with your purchase, and if you ever wanna play, give me a shout.

He is VERY conservative. I have a buddy that was about to leave Cody for another tuner cause he kept giving him too conservative of a tune. They finally saw eye to eye after about a month back & forth. Myself, I have never had a single problem with him. He has gone out of his way to help me. But every vehicle/customer is different.

As for the Lightning, it is a full bolt on truck. I don't race it so I see no need for a built lower end on it, but it is pretty damn fun.:D

This is true...When i solicited him for tuning, he was nutz deep in another project, i told him i understood and would call him back...I called and spoke to another and was told Cody was out, and he'l call me back when he could, never heard back and felt like he blew me off. I called again and was told to try back another day, he was busy...I did, and left phone and email...he went another week with out communication back...then he emailed me and asked what he could do for me, I told him..."Nothing, thank you."

NICE truck! and the lil Vette ain't to shabby either...lol That truck pic taken at OLOL parking garage?
