I have thus far been a fan of the NT05's. The R's are probably a stickier version (and most likely by default, less tread life). However, coming from a 555, its probably an upgrade from where your at. I'd be interested to know how the R's perform on the street.
I'm also a fan of the NT-05's, I only go 9,700 mi. out of the Goodyear F-1's and HALF as much (BUT, TWICE the FUN) 4,500 mi out of the NT-05's The NT-05 R's are suppost to be more stickier compound (sounds great on the 1/4 mi), but, I wonder about the Side-Wall for the Road Course PS - for the price I will probably get another set of Nt-05's (unless Bridgestone make the RE-11's in a 20" or the Falken's if they make it in a 20")
Been running 305 555R's on stock wheels, good street tire, good track tire for a minute, but after a few passes, you can hang em up. The NT05R's are next on my list of tires for the rear. Plan on them being a street/strip tire for me. Have read many people using the 315's on stock wheel also without any rubbing or issues. Problem is they are still on national B/O to my knowledge.
