    Thanks Guys!

Its got a LONG LONG way to go... and right now its my Wife's only mode of transportation with the baby... but we plan on keeping it for a long long time... so if you stick around you will probably see many incarnations of the MAGNUMATOR...

    Thanks guys!

Hey anyone know where i can get a coolant flush done in the IE? Dont really want to pay Dealer Prices, and tried to flush it myself but apparently this motor needs a really good back fill flush... i need it hooked up to the machine that circulates water until its fully flushed out...

then i can start from scratch with new G-05 coolant... and hopefully a painted tank from Ralph...

    Welcome from San Diego!

Have tried using this stuff? http://www.valvoline.com/products/brands/zerex/radiator-treatments/44

Basically, fill the car with water and that stuff. Run the motor until hot so that it circulates. Then flush/back flush with the hose.

If that doesn't do it...I'd call Cam.

Yeah i tried the prestone version of that stuff... my probelm is it wont get all the black crap out of the motor... And i really dont want to use Riverside water... ITS NASTY HARD WATER...

maybe ill just pull the radiator and flush it then flush the block....

    OR... ill call Cam... :mains:

Hmmmm can i talk the wife into a Cam while the radiator is out? LOL

What black stuff? You can use the Riverside water to flush and then use distilled to fill it.

its not like black sludge, its just scale and crap from the crappy coolant that i am sure the dealer i bought it from put in...

my guess is they topped it off with the wrong coolant...
