I have only 11.000 miles and my brake are making noise on my 2006 300C.
Its only happening when I drive under 10 Mph and that i apply the brake slowly.
Making noise like I don't have pads anymore.
no noise at all when I push harder on them.
I still have the original non slotted rotor.

I did buy the car as a Chrysler demo less than 400 miles ago an ask them about the slotted rotor, but they said that the one I had where OK.

    So, pads or rotor?
    Thanks

Squealing brakes was mostly with the Jeeps and only a few LX's.

The TSB for the rotors was because the combination of the stock pads with the original solid rotors ended up scoring the rotors. Apparently the design of the pads caused brake dust to build up in front of the leading edge of the pad. This caused premature scoring of the rotors. The slotted rotors allow the brake dust to be evacuated from in front of the pads properly. This did not effect braking efficiency.

I suppose this might cause squealing...

Having been a demo car did you check the rotors and pads?
400 miles on a track would do in your brakes.
Getting the rotors red hot and applying the brakes when stopped could leave uneven pad deposits on the rotors or possibly warp them.
The shoes have a little spring steel tab for a wear indicator. When your pads wear down to the indicator it contacts the rotor. If the pads are worn out then maybe the indicator is only making noise as you describe.

If it's still under warranty I'd let them deal with it (don't just let them spray anti-squeal crap on it). I'd also ask that they give you a list of all TSB's that might apply to your car.

Hardly anyone had the solid rotors for that many miles so I'm not sure if that's normal when the pads get worn in a bit. You could always try a different type of pads.

I had the squealing brakes with my stock pads, so I'd ask about those. And while you're at it, try and get the slotted rotors. Can't hurt.

What I was told was that the brakes are designed for hard braking, not daily driving soft-braking. Go figure...

Went to Chrysler on tuesday for the brakes.

    - Sir, you will need news disc and new pads all 4!!
You can come back on friday.
Thanks that i had warn them before I did buy the car about the problem with the original brakes, they will change them under garanty.

    - Can you do the maintenance also.
No need sir, maintenance has been made at 7500 miles and its now 11.000 miles, next maintenance is at 15.000 miles.

    - Well last maintenance was 18 month ago and is every 6000 miles.
    - Hu didn't now that!, ok we will do that on friday.

So i left the car this morning (they had all the parts)and went to pick it up a few minutes ago.

Surprise ! they had the wrong parts and they forgot about maintenance, so no new brakes.
    - Your car is not common, sometimes it's difficult to get the good parts!!

Now braking is worse, I have a low pedal and i can hear that the disc have been put back without checking. They are no more straight anymore.

They will call me back next week!

I did check the brakes this morning.
I have one new disc at rear with the old pads??
I don't undersand what thet have made with the car yesterday.
I really don't trust them anymore.
They thinks that I'am a stupid guy with a fast car.
Gonna ask them the work sheet next time I bring the car.
And I will need all the info on what they are doing on my car.
    What oil
What torque they use on fastener
    ....:smart:

look like one thread is missing.

i went yesterday to get new discs and pads, but at the end they had ordered the wrong parts.
Braking is then worse, with a low and spongy pedal, and feel like the disc have run out when I brake.
They didn't even bother with maintenance!
it's been 18 months without and almost 12.000 miles, but for them is the same as a 5.7 L

Ugh. Sorry you are having such issues. Talk with the Service Manager and explain to him the differences of an SRT8 and a R/T (5.7). WOW!

    Hang in there brotha.

I see you're in Brussels. Is going to another place for service/warranty work an option? Some place with a service department with a good reputation?
