well for the mudstain im going a new direction. i initally wanted to beef up the inline 6 but one problem the intake man and head are one solid piece. so i cant port it. and i cant put anything bigger than a 2 barrel carb on it. damm manfold looks like a straw ive looked but couldnt fine a Ford Falcon inline 6 head and manifold were there accually seprate so i can go bigger. that sucks.. so with as little budget i have for this mudstain this is the new route im going. so i talked with my pops and we agreed on using our spare small blocks for the mudstain. Our choices were a 327 or a 350, i think the 350 will get the job done... :towel: I know this is going piss alot of people off having a Chevy mustang, but hey i dont have any spare 302 or 351 laying around. unless some one wants to donate one for free?? ...so now the heart transplant will begin this spring got to pick up a few things before we begin. i'll keep you updated
So you're actually gonna go ahead with this blasphemy huh?? Knucklehead!! :chair: J/K bro! I know I gave you a hard time bout this before so I'll let you off the hook this time. Besides, I'd prob do the same if I had no money and a spare 350 sitting around, lol!
yea im accually gonna go through with it i tried to keep it ford but its not gonna make the power that i want. i would have loved to beef up that 6 and see what it would do but that damm head
the good thing is i already have half the exhaust i uped the stock one on the I6 to a 2.5in now when i do the swap all i gotta do is chop off what i dont need and refit it, and make the other half
noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
One of the car magazines did a project car about a year ago where they put a Chevy motor in a stang...I think it was Popular Hot Rodding but not sure....they did something like a 3 magazine detail write up so you might want to find it..
thanks i'll defenetly look it up. maybe i can find some prefabed motormounts instead of making my own :thumb2: i know theres a guy here in ABQ that put a crate 502 in his 03ish stang
heres one of an LS1 swap http://www.popularhotrodding.com/tech/0707phr_ford_mustang_ls1_engine_transplant/index.html
do it nev i dropped a stroked chevy small block into a ford truck a couple years ago.. people were like wtf is that lol..
Yea, you know Nev more and more guys are crossing the line like this so I wonder if there's parts out there for ya. Seems like everytime I watch Pinks some guy has a Camaro with a Ford motor in it or a Mustang with a Chevy small block in it. Bet there's parts out there for this kinda thing.
I browsed the site... do you think i'll really need a new wire harness??? its not going to be fuel injected. I remember the wires weren't too bad i may just reuse them.
