Well a few of the Admins on here already know about this (and hope they are still working on my website:whistle but we have just about negotiated our contracts so I thought I let everyone know what I was up to. I have gone into business with a buddy of mine that owns 2 restuarants here in Waco,TX. He, myself and another business partner are opening a retail store called TROJAN IND. Under this name we will have a retail store in the Marketplace shopping center in Waco between KOHLS and Payless which will sell shirts that we have designed and other clothing items, decals, etc... We will also be carrying the SKIN brand items in the store as well but the store will be focused on the Trojan label more. We also have bought a bar that has been closed for months that at one time was the place to be, apparently the partners involved did not keep up with the money and well you know how that goes. It needs ALOT of work but we can do it. The bar is small but has personality different from all the other bars in town. It's located here: right underneath the SPICE store which closes at 6pm its kind of hard to explain but were INSIDE the store but on the bottom floor all to ourselves in the main breezeway from the front of the store to the back of the store. This is as real as it gets for me, I am a Lisc Real Estate Appraiser so business has been slow but the Downtown Waco area is on the rise, several high end lofts are under development other restaurants are coming in and new shopping centers are coming in so now for us is a good time to take advantage of this place before anyone else does.
Good luck Wade in your new business venture, my brother lives in Plano, if I ever get down there to visit him I'll have to drop in to say hi..........oh and make sure your first waitress is the one in your Signature!

There's a drag strip in Waco, right? Sounds like a great place for a Rumble, and a M&G in Waco. Best wiches with your new ventures.
Congrats Wade! It's a nice bar and hopefully we can get you up and running with the store. The bar looks almost identical in layout to one here in the downtown area that is VERY VERY Popular each and every night. It is called Fidel's and they tuck a small band up on that loft area (often a solo guitarist/slinger) for the ambiance. It is a Cigar bar where they actually have humidores along the far side of the wall that people can rent and leave their Cohibas and stuff in. Not too many people actually smoke cigars in their anymore because of new city bylaws. But this is what got them started in the white collar business district (banks, lawyers, govt, doctors, real estate, corp head offices, casino) Good luck buddy!
Thanks everyone, hopefully I will only have to babysit the bar every now and then one of the partners will be running it, I'm more focused on the shirt/retail/website stuff. Once were up and operational I will give more details and links to what were doing and have to offer and of course if any of my Connection brothers/sisters are in Texas or close to Waco you will get the VIP treatment at the bar, We've already got 2 top notch bartenders lined up and working on wait staff and with Baylor University just a few blocks away we should have good pickings for some pretty hot waitresses and yes all staff will have to look the part, sorry thats what makes em coming back. The retail store front is new so it's untouched so we have an open canvas to remodel how we want it and will be reimbursed by the leasing company for the work and now were working on a new line of shirts TROJAN & HOP (josh) I have your shirts but I ran out of the XL ones I want to send to you so just waiting for them to come in from print and will get them out to you guys.
