Hey guys with just over 26k on my 06 she is getting some wrinkling on the leather seats on the driver and passenger side. I have to this date been using the armor all leather protectant gel but am looking for something new any thoughts??
First: Dave, WTF? Haven't seen/heard from you in a bit. How's it going? Second: I think the wrinkles are inevitable. I've used a variety of products on our Murano's interior, still got wrinkles. Leather will stretch, and I don't think there's anything short of re-stretching it to solve the wrinkles. But, I'm a moron... and am likely wrong.
Try Leathertique conditioner. You apply it wearing a rubber glove or by bare hand. It needs heat to work properly. The cracks come from the leather drying out. Leather needs to be moist to stay supple. If dirt gets in the cracks, eventually those wrinkles will turn to tares. See if our sponsor Tropi-Care has some leather food.
rick - i used zymol religously on my last bimmer and the seats looked as new as the day i bought the car when i got rid of it!!!
Wrinkles are one thing. What you don't want to follow is cracking and tears (both the separation kind and what you'll be doing if it happens).
never thought of using it on my golf shoes!! oh wait, i live in florida, i wear gold SANDALS year round!!! hehehehehehee
nope steve........ flirting with single digit hanicap!!!! i could play barefoot if needed, no matter!!!!
i get into single digits when i play often too haha...if i were your neighbor i'd have to take you out for a whooping hahaha to be on topic...i use Meguiars Aloe conditioner for my leather...it works out very well for me...but yeah wrinkles will come no matter what...it stinks...
I use Ardex leather cleaner/conditioner, it seems to work ok. I sometimes apply a second coat heavy & let it soak in, but like everyone said wrinkles happen. I have yet to try it on my dink, I'm afraid I'd drowned the little feller.
So once the you get wrinkles, other than getting the leather stretched out, is there a way to get the wrinkles out?
and this right here is why i come to the site everyday!!! hahahahahaah only at the connection can an innocent thread about leather seats and wrinkles go this off topic!
