Buy one and install it inbetween the Turbo (hose back of the trubo) to the WGA thats if you already removed the Black and Green line Open/Close (some are backwards) it so your running boost just from the WGA run the car and adjust little at a time 1/2 turn untill you reach your desired boost then Lock it so it doesnt move when bumped Edit: thats the best way i can explane it. some one else will/probally be able to tell you better than i
Those are the lines that run back to the solenoids for PCM based boost control. I gotta ask some simple questions though. 1. Do you have an after market wga? 2. Do you have an 03 or 04-05? 3. Do you have an idea what you are trying to accomplish or simply trying to raise the boost?
1) I have a s2 wga I will sell ya 2) 04 is good means u have enough injector 3) What are you looking for boost wise? spike/hold
get a MBC and turn the boost to 17psi. I wouldnt go past 18psi without a lil more fuel somehow. what is your cash flow. Its gonna take a couple bucks to go faster. A stage2 wastgate is nice if you can get it dirt cheap. Otherwise save up 80-90 bucks and buy a AGP or PTP.
well i was hoping for a 19/20 spike and 17/18 hold IF ATTAINABLE with a stage 2 wga and a mbc i dont want insane fast, just want to keep beatin on mustangs, camaros, etc.:thumb3: right now i am hitin 15 spike and 11-12 hold=not enough boost:no:
Well the s0 ECU is gonna start pulling boost back at 18 psi. The next kicker is the turbo will get out of its efficiency range so it will always fade to 13psi at redline no matter what wga or boost controller you are running. If you set the wga for about a 19psi spike you should be good to go. After you install it drive it very easy until the ECU learns the wga. Just watch out for part throttle boost codes and compressor surge while it is learning the new wga.
S1 pulls at 20psi and ur still gonna have problems with PTB and surge while it is learning. Mains is running a s2 wga and a s0 ECU and he is not having any problems what so ever. You just have to drive it like a granny for about 50 miles and then usually takes a week or so for the compressor surge to go away.
Get a WGA and BC. Set the gate to 13psi, and adjust with the BC. Set the BC to 17psi and it should fall to about 15 at redline. That is perfect for stock turbo with no support mods IE return line, fuel pump, meth. I say set it to 17 because you may see boost creep here and there and you don't want that if you are already set to 18 psi. Fuel Cut is no fun.
You mean you don't like the feeling of slamming into a brick wall? Joking aside I thought you should set for 15 and adjust from there?
still not answering my original ? where does the mbc hook-up ? the black line between the wga and turbo? I will get a s2wga and mbc next week.
There is a green line that goes from the back of the turbo to the control solenoid and a black line that goes from the solenoid to the wga. What you need to do is remove both of these lines and run a line from the back of the turbo to the mbc and then to the wga.
