Thats right, after numerous months of engineering and testing, we are extremely close to releasing the CIS turbo system for all 5.7/6.1 chargers, 300s, magnums, and cherokees (ex. 5.7). Tuning with the Diablo has been a task, but we are possibly within 1 week of being done with the tuning. With that being said, how about some dyno numbers on a 5.7 and 5psi. On the Mustang dyno, we dynoed our plum crazy srt8 first for comparison sake. The SRT-8 is completely bone stock. 330 RWHP 357 RWTQ Now that is low, but Mustang dynos usually are lower than dynojet numbers. Another bone stock srt8 we dynoed on a dynojet layed down 360rwhp/381rwtq, so we can say there is about an 8.5% difference in the two dynos. Now the interesting numbers; My stock internals 5.7 running 5 lbs of boost 367 RWHP 453 RWTQ If we add another 8.5% for dynojet numbers, you are looking at 400 RWHP 495 RWTQ Thats is an insane amount of tq, but at the same time, that is just a calculation based on theoretical differences between dynojets and mustang dynos. What we know for a fact is that the car madw 37rwhp more than an srt8 and 100rwtq more than an SRT8, that my friends is absolutely huge. Next week I will bring you more info as we should be finishing up the tune on the 5.7 and starting the tune on the srt-8.

very much looking forward to seeing the final results!!! would not mind seeing this in my own ride as long as tuning will not be an issue!!!
ppp - how do you envision this system on a stock motor???? no need for heads/cam/intakes??? is it set for stock internals or is forging going to be a must???? just curious.....
Those dyno numbers are on a stock 5.7 with 25,000 miles on the system with absolutely no damage or issues with driveability. The 6.1 has more compression, but as long as you stay below 7psi you should be fine.
I would imagine that 5lbs of boost on a stock block would be fine. If I am not mistaken, turbos are a bit less stressful on an engine than a supercharger.
7psi "Should" be fine on a stock block, but I would recommend staying at 6 - 6 1/2 psi for high ring land reasons. Now hurry up and get those 6.1L numbers up...:thanks:
sooooo, stock 6.1 running this system, under 7psi of boost, and tuned correctly with all of the aforementioned parts included in the kit, will still be a reliable daily driver, but with much more attitude!!! mmmmmmm, sign me up!!!!! :towel:
Ooooooooooor, build a forged bottom end with lower compression and run HIGH boost for CRAZY power... hehe
the kit will come setup for 5psi, but I am sure someone will turn it up, just hope they dont go above 7, lol.
That is correct, install and go. Awesome setup. Nothing like the feeling of a jet taking off and pushing you into the seat.
very interested in seeing some good solid, tuned numbers for a stock 6.1 motor. where is the turbo mounted??? is it a remote style under the car???
lol well uuummmm not unless you are JMatt... hahaha Not really a lot more money. 10K is a fair price for a built motor that can shave 1.5 seconds off your stock time. Think of the possibilities a built motor can give a gear head... hehe
This sounds awesome. I've always been a fan of turbocharging..keep us in the loop on the SRT8 fo sho!
Just when I thought I was done modding. Well andy glad to see we can now go the rout I want to back when I first called u
