    and I'm in love.

The Kooks & Borla-T is a winning combo sound-wise. I can leave the intersection at 1/2 throttle and have heads turn.. or i can ease on the pedal and leave unnoticed. I can cruise on the hwy at 80 and have the cabin as quiet as it was stock.. or i can lean on it hard and hear the nascar-like rumble as i pass by other drivers breaking their neck to see what just flew by. This is the exact combo I wanted - mean when I want it, unnoticed when I don't.

Performance-wise I definitely feel (sotp) a padding in mid-range rpm power. WOT from a roll of 50-60 definitely feels stronger, a moderate improvement on par with the expected 25 - 35hp gain.

I never ran at the track or on a dyno, but i estimate my flywheel hp to be:

    420 stock
    15 bwoody
    15 borla
    25 180 stat
    25 kooks headers & hi-flow cats
    1 color (black)
    -------------------------------------
    501

I'm very happy with my mod combo and the sotp feel surprises me - I didn't expect these simple bolt-ons to give the 5k lb truck such a kick in the nuts. My tires are slipping when turning on dry, paved streets when under medium throttle, etc. It just feels lighter on it's toes, more agile.

Now I need some time to replenish my mod budget and decide on what's next. Perhaps a tune would help tie everything down.. what do ya'll think?

    Promo -
You saw my post on the Jeep site....KUDOS on the headers bro! Just don't expect to "stack" HP gains like that......

A couple questions. Did you have the exhaust on before the headers? What was the sound difference after, if so? I'm jealous.....

why you gotta deflate my dreams like that for?

before the headers the exhaust note was very tame. quieter than stock at idle, and more "airy". if i wasn't planning on headers, i wouldn't have went w/ the borla-T, rather choosing to go w/ the borla-S or b&b.

The B&B also has a great sound with the KOOKS headers.

As for me I sound like noone else

Glad you like the headers IMHO there a MUST for these rides.

And you definately need a B&G tune now with the headers.

you've been using the b&g tune for about a year now, what are your favorite things about it, and what would you change if you could?

    This is more factual;
    At the flywheel.......... 420
    CAI, (max) ......... 10
    AnyCatback(max)......... 10
    TStat...............................5

This is the tested and proven category and that is at optimum conditions. If your temps reach 190-195 which is normal unless you run a fan switch this negates the gains of a cooler thermostat.

At the wheels you may see 20hp again that is optimum and the right conditions.

    WOT!!!!!!!!!

Its how it should have come from the factory, I want to get a predator and have Dave from B&G shut my secondary o2 sensors off and tweak some more parameters for me. All in all its worth it.

    Yup!

    Yes.....it does.

A CMR tune in conjunction with what you have will yield 10-25hp. I didnt take into account the headers and they are worth about 10-15 over factory exhaust.

Promo718, I've also had Kooks and Borla T on since mid-summer and totally agree with your review on sound and sotp performance but for realistic power increase, I definitly go along SgtStanko's numbers.
I just came back today from a 1200 mile round trip to the Detroit Auto show and the Jeep handled the snow and slush like a Champ feeling very secure cruising mostly at 75-85. I was very surprised of not being tired after a 10 hour stint today and the average economy showing 15.3 mpg
