Well, good news and bad... US Wheel got one of my rims assembled, but the other three were damaged by UPS during shipping.. Now to the damage... So, USW has sent the four centers to his powder coater to have them redone. UGH! HUGE thanks to USW for stepping up and taking care of me on this damage issue. These guys are GREAT!
thats what you get for painting them and not PC them at the start. They do look great cant wait to see them at spring fling
no doubt, i could have sworn they would be pc. oh well, nice looking ronny, we will see how they look up against the blue flamer....um flame.
The wheels look great Ron...except the damaged of course.....UPS is bad for that...almost every package we get from UPS is busted....never have that trouble with FedEx.....................and I could swear I already posted on this thread..:dumb:
hahaaha That is why I added the 1K insurance. haha Claim has already been filed. You posted on another thread I started when they were first painted last week. John, most important piece of the rim (the hoop) is powdercoated. The centers do not need to be as durable as the hoops, unless UPS decides to throw the box around and damage the paint. lol Yes PC is the better way to go, but you seem to forget, the Blue is not an easy color to match. There is no code for the paint as it is a custom mix from my painter. Since the PC guy now has the exact color, he should be able to match the blue up perfectly.
Ronny .. the wheels look great .. I really think the look is going to set off 1BAD4DR even more!! On a side note .. I heard some PCers can make a powder to match a paint spec. Like I said, I think this is possible, the only difficulty is that you might have to buy a specific amount of powder .. much more powder then your wheels will required, but hey at least you will be covered if those "close call" situations ever become disasterous ... just a thought ... please let me know if this is a stupid thought, if so I will just go back to being my meaningless, thread jacking, joking around douche that I have been recently ..
AS I stated, now that the PCer has the exact color blue, he will be able to match perfectly. Originally I did not have a sample the PCer could have to match the color, and my painter does not have a color code as it is a custom one off mix. The code is in his head. lol
haaha the "others" are the same rim. Only one survived. I only posted one of the damaged rims as they too, made me sick.
in all seriousness, i could not see the damage to the wheel???? i do like the one that was assembled!!! like the black touch on the spokes!!! very cool ron!!! i sure hope my package coming from carlos is not going UPS!!! yikes!!! lol edit....... now that i had my son look, i understand the issue!!! lol i thought i was seeing a glare from the flash!!! dahahahahahaha
