Ok heres whats happening i need advise on my truck... i bought the truck the last week in october of 07..was told that it was a 1 owner truck the owner traded it in cause of the warrenty went out.. the warrenty went out at 36k i bought it with 36500.. i thought i was all dandy....well it's sopose to be a certified truck right... well i get the truck home.. the truck has to have an alignment...this should have been done from the dealer correct? since that had to be done i checked the oil.. it was black as could be..again i thought this was a certified used truck everything was fine.. anyway as the story would have it i started modding my beloved SRT-10... on went the Intake and exhaust and the polished throttle body.. an a small shot of spray that was only used 3 times...anyway i drive it for about 3 months and i suck one of the screws into the motor that came out of the throttlebody blade shaft..destroys the #10 piston..not big deal i take it to the dallas dodge dealership.. to see if it was covered under warrenty cause at the time i didn't know what was wrong.....they looked at the truck saw the aftermarket throttle body voided my warrenty on the spot..without tearing down the truck.. well i tell them to goahead and tear it down to see what wrong..sure enuff a screw was sucked into the motor..they say they was $21,000 bucks to fix it.. i tell them i'll be there tomorrow to pick the truck up lol....so i get the truck home relize none of my paper work from me buying the truck and my now voided warrenty is gone..call the dealership an they know nothing...ok fine ill get it another way..." i'm still trying to get the papers btw"....so ok i take the motor out of the truck. replace the #10 piston the truck runs fine for about aday.... the next day it starts knocking again..so ok i'm taking it to a diffrent dealership so off we go to Temple Dodge ....i get there an low an behold my truck has a hell of a history that has been hidden from me..... it has had 2 rebuilt motors 2 new rearends..and a slew of other problems the 2 rebuilt motors were cause it was burning 4 quarts of oil every 3,000 miles or so... well here heres the sheet that i got you can see that the 2 motors are within 3 months of each other the last motor was put in, in september i bought itat the end of october......anyway the story goes on....the temple dodge dealer ship tells me that the motor is cover by the 12k/12month warrenty..they tell me that there should be no problem putting a motor in it.. they get the ok from the higher ups at dodge..and things start rolling... i post my good news over on VTCOA cause i'm like flipin out i'm finally getting my truck fixed you know i'm excited.... i go to work the next week and recieve a phone call telling me that there will be no new motor due to the post on VTCOA an them finding out i had the motor out of the truck..well holy shit i don't know if i should cry or just hit somebody you know.. i make a few phone calls to Dan at Viper specialty and see what he thinks we start planing a motor build..and my uncle tells me that i should try and get the Dallas dodge dealership to take the truck back for misrepsenting it when i bought it....so do yall think i'd have a chance trying to get them to take the truck back or still getting me a new motor?... like i said when i bought this truck i asked for a carfax and it was clean...i believe i was completely missled and paid topdollar for something that should have been sold thousands of dollars less due to the mechinical problems the trucks had...what do yall think thoughts comments are welcome.. i'm talking to my lawyer monday to see if he thinks i even have a case but i'm so tired of going in circles i'm tempted have them just repo it and find another one..sorry for the rant but what do yall think? EDIT- also i forgot to add that the temple dealership told me that there is a hair line crack on the block on the #3 piston an metal in the oil
Jesus... It appears to me that the original Dealer who sold you the truck should be liable for selling you a Lemon. even though it was a used sale. Yea, speak to your attorney for sure, but it seems that you would have a fairly good case?

you know i just feel..i dont really know how i feel...i hate that im paying about 900 a month on somthing that sits in the drive way..an iv had the truck less that a year an iv only been able to drive it 3 months simce iv had it....but what should i ask the dealership to do.....take the truck back or give me a new motor?
They lied about your purchase, screw a new motor you have damaged goods. That trucks history speaks for itself. Give it back.
if i give it back will i gety another one though? since i bought the truck i'v bought a new harley lol.. an honestly i really do like the truck alot... but you have a good point it would prob be better just to give it back or work out a deal to get me a newer srt-10 or a nice used viper coupe?
