its been a while since ive posted here, so i figured id share some of the changes that ive dont to the car. i only had my phone to take pics, but i wanted to take a few pics to show off some of the new mods ive done. i felt the time attack look on the wheels was getting a little played out since everyone and their mother is doing it, so i did something a little different (still not done, this is just to see if i like the stripe. final version will be slightly different). anyway, when i get my hands on a better camera ill take some good pics but for now these will have to do. check home boy in the background (rofl) before the wheels things you can see that ive changed headlights fogs taillights front grill +fmic all turbo piping emblems grill badge wheels cant really see it but 3rd brake light is blacked out too. things you cant see ms1 sri full tbe agp wga painted center bezel l.e.d interior lights aeroforce gauge in stock location it needs a drop in a bad bad way. next weekend ill hopefully get the map clamp on (finally) and do a very conservative tune till i can get the rest of the stuff i want. im happy, mid/low 13 sec car (from a dig on street tires :bigthumb soon to be very low 13 sec car that doesnt look half bad if you ask me.
i see about 18-24mpg city depending on how heavy my right foot is, on the highway i see anywhere from 25-30 depending on how long im on the hwy , headwind, speed, gear im in, cruise on or off etc. avg on both is about 24mpg but i do mostly city driving and south florida is riddled with stop lights and traffic so it kills the mpg. altogether not bad for a mid/low 13 sec car with only bolt ons +ms1. add a clamp or fic and the mpg go up along with the horsepower. now thats getting your cake and eating it too.
That is GREAT! I could come close to making the payment just with the fuel savings by parking the GCSRT more often. Auto Trader here I come... HA.. I want too many cars. Supposed to saving up for a CTS-V coupe.
well right now its just a strip of electical tape to mock it up. the strip right now is only 1/2" now, i plan on painting it on in 3/4" and adding a very thing (maybe 1/8" wide ) silver pin stripe right behind the red stripe. since its on the SRT spoke of the wheel I think it will kind a match the srt logo as well as set the wheels off some so the car isnt totally consumed in black. all black is cool, but you gotta have a little definition. at the very least it ties the red brakes into the rest of the car nicely.
