Is Challenger an LX?

Just thinking about it and it may not be an LY after all. I haven't heard anything about new tooling for a new platform. Anyone else have any thoughts on this?

 

I believe it's been designated "LC"

 

It was supposed to be the "LY" platform but you're right C, I haven't heard anything about it either.

 

The LC from what I can understand (being of simple mindedness) is a shortened LX platform. The LY, apparently, will be a whole new platform for the next gen LXs.

Just check my tech connect link and it shows up as a LC.

 

Looks like that settles it. What is an LC? Isn't it built in Canada like the rest of the SRT8s?

It's simply a shortened LX, and it will come off the same assembly line in Brampton.

 

so which cars are going to be LY's...are the 08's LY's cause they look exactly the same to me...of course this is just the outside view and nothing technical...

08s are LX. Supposedly, LY is the platform designation for the NEXT generation. That would be a whole "new look" vehicle lineup, I imagine.
