I have had several vendors send me tunes to help me after my seperation with GSM.

During the course of all this one of the characteristics the Jeep now has is........you launch it and it will spin the tires and then when it gains traction I look down it has layed over..... and it is in 2nd gear. Needless to say it makes for poor acceleration until the engine is in its RPM powerband again.

    Can you figure this out???

Is it in a traction control setting?

Try going into diablo, Transmission, Autostick Auto Upshift and changing it to disable.

The upshifts are based on MPH, so if the wheels accelerate rapidly (spin) the PCM says oh crap, I need to upshift.

Sounds like the best fix would be some sticky tires....

    Thanks

Are you sure??? Previously I ran Nitrous at stand still WOT spinning the tires through the lights. It was so strong the Jeep would torque steer. It NEVER did this making over 500hp from a standstill.

I think it is more RPM based. Maybe due to the stall converter and the tune not able to address it???

After testing it a while ago, it doesnt do this with the traction control "on"......it does this when I turn it off at the factory switch.

    JEEP Stall

Just to put the knowledge out there so no one else falls into this pit of listening to the wrong advise. The Jeep stock converter stalls at 2,100 rpm. When you install ANY converter that slips or stalls beyond this the ECU goes into limp mode or a 2nd gear upshift like "RIGHT NOW". Obviously this is a new problem and new territory not yet explored.

JEEPS......2,800 rpm stall or less or your pockets will be lighter!!!
