I saw it! I was across the harbor in Coronado showing my parents the view of downtown when it sounded like a giant cannon went off. It blew out about 4 stories near the bottom of the hotel. I had my camera with me because we were sight-seeing. Here's a few pics I grabbed with my telephoto lens.
The news here just said it was a natural gas explosion. 14 injured from burns and flying debris, 5 of those 14 were critically injured (whatever that means).
I work in a hospital and have seen people in good shape be listed in critical condition. I guess I just want more details to decide for myself.
Critical Vital signs are unstable and not within normal limits. Patient may be unconscious. Indicators are unfavorable. ______________ i work in a hospital too, not just one but many. what do you do?
We got an alert when that happened, via email. First thought was "The T-Word", then, well... accident!
I didn't hear about it till my mother called from Salt Lake......800 miles away, and she knew before I did.....
