Hey guys and gals, I just had my ProTorque 2800 stall converter installed by HHP tonight and was wondering what kind of breakin-in period if any that you guys did or recommend when you had yours installed? I haven't driven the car more than a few miles so far and have been pretty easy on the throttle. I'm not sure how much difference the higher stall is making yet since I haven't really mashed the pedal out of 1st gear. All comments are welcome.
I don't know how quick the nag converter fills. But just to be safe. I'd give it a few miles 10-20. Just to make sure it's completly full. Most converter installs that have problems were installed dry. I'm sure HHP didn't do that. But I do know of a stator failure from stator cavatation right after an install. The failure was on a truck with the 545rfe trans. Filled with 1 qrt before install. ??? The 545rfe takes some time to completly fill the converter.
That's the answer I wanted to hear...lol. I know Josh already hammered on it after it was installed. I guess I'll hammer on it tomorrow on the way to work. My RSA's are now going to say UNCLE once and for all!!!:towel:
