I own a 2006 300C SRT8 that sits all winter. Am considering trading for a low mile 2006 SRT Jeep that is available to get down to one vehicle instead of two. Am I going to be happy with the Jeep as far as ride and drive compared to my 300? Drove the Jeep at my experience but as you know was all curves and wide open throttle, not every day driving. Lets hear what you all have to say. Bill:stars:
Hey Bill, I have test driven the badass Jeep and I loved it. Of course it is not as smooth as the LX platform, but I think you would be pleasantly surprised at its comfort. Go for it.
I cant answer that I do know the guys that live up north in the snow seem to think they handle well in the snow maybe they will chime in soon call BWoody and talk to them they get some bad weather where they are and have a Jeep plus other SRT's they should be able to give you an honest answer
Bill i had an 06 srt-8 magnum for 1 yr and wife hated it so i got an 07 srt-8 jeep and would never go back to an lx platform car. The jeep hooks and cuts a trail. The mileage was about 1.5 mpg less than the mag until i got a preditor custon cmr tune now its 1 mpg better better than the mag was. .
Agree with Ron, test drove one before getting my Maggie and it's ride is not as smooth as the LXs but not objectionable at all (it is an SUV). Besides, sounds like you're gonna be more concerned with all that snow instead of a smooth ride. I'd get a Jeep!
Different strokes for different folks. I prefer the stiffer Charger suspension to the 300's cushier ride. I drove the Jeep in the drag/slalom module at one of the SRT:TE days at Laguna Seca. It launches like a mother, but gets a bit wobbly in the turns, plus it felt like I was flying the space shuttle, kinda cramped for my tastes, but I've never been a Jeep person. Happy shopping and I'm sure you'll get lots of feedback here and on the Jeep sub-forum here.
What detail am I missing here, Bill? My MSRT rocks in the winter with steel wheels and 17" tires!!! And we're in the snowiest capital city in the world. I'd just spend some money on take offs and start driving the 300 in the winter as it's already seen a good chunk of depreciation!
what i can say is...as long as its an SRT...i dont think you will be unhappy with your choice whatever you get  haha... i want a jeep... and a 300... and a charger... and a viper.... and a ram.... and a well i guess you get the point here now...
I need to consider doing what Mag8 suggests also....he has a point. I didn't mention what happened to me 4/6, my 10 month old home burned completly with my 2002 Tracker LT 4x4 in the garage. Bill
