Most of the GTO guys (and gals) I've raced were pretty cool about it win or lose. Today I was at the light turning off of our Eastlake Proving Grounds and a silver 6.0 GTO, fairly new with new exhaust, was remarking about how my paint job would probably slow me down... well, I was on the inside of the turn lane and knew I had an edge in case he jumped. Sure enough, as soon as we made the turn I herd him jump on it hard. It was on and after about three to four car lenths I put on the breaks. He caught up at the light and gave me the thumbs down and said he was stock except for the CAI and ehxaust. I told him "ditto" and that he needed to try another mod or two. He said his car was heavier than mine... I just laughed and told him he better go check his info again. I also mentioned I had a full tank of gas, 300 pounds of stereo in the trunk and three sets of golf clubs in my trunk. He just shook his head and sped off... guess he was having a bad day! Lol! I told him to go find a guy named Ryan in a cream 300 so he would only get beat by one or two car lengths... Lol!
Ya... Momo will be hunting him down now if he hasn't already... Thanks Brudda... I'm no Viper, but... ...and chaps, and whips, and.. oh, ya... you mean IN the car!
You should of told him it might be heavier than the Charger if he added a nice roomy back seat , two extra doors, and TRY to fit some 20's on his little azz Cavalier
Obviously, the GTO wasn't racing... the above story is yet more frauds, fiction and hijinx's... Nice story, I'll set it up on the shelf in between Little Red Riding Hood and The Three Little Pigs.

Nice one Drew. I did a lap at the Proving Grounds today as well. I just got back from my two month trip and "had" to take her out for a spin.
Drew, nice kill!!! I've seen few GTO's in the area... only once did I have an opportunity to do something... so I just burned-out next to him (opposing lanes of traffic). I saw a silver GTO the other day... Ryan was with me... we were working... can't remember where, though. As far as Ryan's 300... that GTO would've eaten him alive... he's got at least an extra 1200 lbs of powder coating and taco lard he's carrying around. Yeah, too many people read an article (from when our cars first came out) comparing the GTO and ours... then they automatically think their car is actually faster. Fools. We gotta set up another Eastlake M&G and Proving Ground Road Course Challenge!
