I was out checking out a new tune and needing to see WOT through the RPM ranges. Anyway, anyone with a Grip front fascia knows the belly pan doesn't extend far enough to attach to the new front piece. Weak sh!t in my opinion and I emailed them a year ago hoping they would come up with an extension piece... I had three aluminum straps that I built and used as connectors. Well, at 140 mph I felt a shudder and a bang. In my mirror I saw a blast of black plastic pieces. The wind must have pulled the bellypan extension down and RIIIP, away it went tearing the fuck out of everything. It had worked fine before but I have never been confident with it. I am ready to get rid of the f'in front end and go back to a stock front fascia. Just sayin'
I feel your pain Jon. Sucks to pay extra for something like this, and have it not work properly. Bummer pal......
Riiiip, BANG at 140, that must have raised your pulse though? Sorry to hear, sucks to pay extra and get less as someone pointed out. Fredrik
I agree. The only thing changed was WOT fuel...10% less. It actually got me close along with my quick adjusts to the order of 14%...for a total of 24%. Wow...so little air I don't know how I breathe Ya, I was just pointing straight and waiting a sec to make sure whatever it was didn't affect my ability to point straight. Definitely a core-body-temperature-dropper
I feel for you Jon...A year ago I was looking at picking up the same Grip fascia, and when I was told it wouldn't bolt up to the OEM belly pan without some custom fabrication, I walked on the deal, and only picked up the side rocker panels... Good Luck with the repair. Ken
