Any one running 3.55's and is it working? I am thinking about getting a set to go with my blower. I take it lisa's the only one that has them for 550.00 right?

3.55's???? why go that route...... traction comes hard enough without going to a taller gear and thus increasing the traction issue imo. i understand why you would want to, but with these types of cars and rear suspensions, it just seems that traction is already hard to come by, i think gears will make a car with that much power (ie blower) that much harder to launch without blowing up the tires!!! lol

I agree 100%!!!! They might be good on the track with DR's, but forget it on the street with street tires....you'll blow away the tires every time you try and take off.

Yea but even on street tires with just my 426 I dotn have any traction. I think they would help at the track with my et streets on. and I drive around with 20inch drag radials starting next week. so maybe go 3.23

Just think what the 09s with 3.92s are going to do when they are stroked to 426 with a blower...gonna need slicks..;)

i still think the guys with BIG hp numbers are better off staying with stock gears or maybe even smaller...... sounds odd, but big hp numbers will make up for a slower start due to small gears.... if you are routinely blowing up the tires, no amount of hp will over come that imo!!! lol

exactly my point!! lol looks good and is fun to do, but for et's it sux big time!!

Completely different interenal ratios between the two tranny's. So final drive ratio is totally out of wack.

Here's a clip of something I put together a while back for the Keisler manny tranny. But it will give you a good idea of how much gearing will affect the final drive ratio and RPM verses MPH

I think 3.23 would work better for you....I originally thought I wanted 3.55's too but I think that would be way too much w F/I

I thought you were supposed to be able to manage the traction by modulating the gas pedal?
