I was looking around on autoblog and found this. when you go to the link take note of how much the hook looks like the one on the csrt4. also the wheels are srt wheels they look like challenger wheels. http://www.autoblog.com/2008/09/08/out-n-about-dodge-caravan-r-t-goes-shopping/
Ha ha ha ha!!! That's the Limo version of the CSRT4. Just in time for school dances across the nation.
Hmmm, maybe we will get a SRT6 after all But i'd settle on the R/T version. Now all the kids who take mommy's minivan to school will have a decent performer
another page with more pics and a closeup of the wheels. http://www.topspeed.com/cars/dodge/2008-dodge-caravan-r-t-concept-ar50699.html
OK. When Ryan and I were on a work trip, we had a rental 08 Caravan. The thing was niice! Talk about all purpose, roomy, cool features, etc... Ryan, another coworker and I discussed that vehicle every time we stepped foot in it. Nearly everything about it makes sense and is useful... and easy to use. Hadn't it won a bunch of awards the last year or so?!?! Personnally, despite the minivan label, they make sense... If there's an SRT version of the Caravan, I'd buy one in a heartbeat! Come on! Are you folks kidding me?!?! A minivan that (hopefully) will spank most regular sedans?!?! How freakin' cool is that?!?! *Of course, I've got a wife and kid and 2 dobermans, so I basically need a utility vehicle... and no, the GCSRT8 doesn't have enough interior volume for a stroller, 2 big dogs, baby seat and 2 adults... but the new caravan sure as hell does! BUILD IT AND I WILL COME (we'll need a new ute in the coming years anyway). I remember a family friend had a turbo Caravan years ago... I also remember riding in it and pulling up to Taurus', etc. and racing them... friggin' hilarious to see folks who think they're gonna blow the doors off a minivan... but don't!
Jason, buddy, I couldn't agree more with you ... on the FIRST part! I have an Odyssey and I promised myself my whole life I'd never own a minivan but with the same considerations as you (kids, dog, etc.) we needed the room. To this day I believe that was one of the BEST purchases I ever made, minivans are beyond usefull, their utility is unmatched. I'm a believer. That being said they are vans and in no way were meant to be a sports car. You want something fast, get a vette, not a minivan. Sorry, but that's my thoughts on that. (BTW I used to work with a guy back in the late 90s that had a Caravan that he put 20" wheels and a supercharger on, it was crazy stupid. BUT, there was also something crazy cool about it too, lol!)
Oh, I agree... but we've already got SRTs for speed... so, if you need a minivan type of vehicle, why not! More power, better overall performance... if you're gonna get a minivan, then get the fastest, best handling one! Just IMO! I guess that this thing would be so over the top, that it'd be cool. Tell you all what... they make it and I buy it, I'm selling the Charger! LMAO! Vortech, need a R&D Minivan?!?! LMAO!!! *Don't think I wouldn't*
Its a High Performance SOccer mom mobile- NO thank you- even though Im only 23 and dont have any kids!...but if there was an SRT version and I had kids id buy it to compliment the Jeep.
I like the way that minivan looks but you got to remember its stil a minivan. Now drop a 426 in that bad boy and I would be down.
I guess that right there IS the WHOLE point and why I'd buy the thing. It is/would be a blatant contradiction on wheels. It should be sluggish and have more body roll than Ryan on a treadmill... but it won't!!!!
Hey you know that monkey boy Milan might want to get in on that, he already was trying to race me with his minivan, the hoser, hahahha!:baby:
... and Milan is a hoser! LMAO!!! Ah... Canadians... gotta love the little ice skatin' retards! LMAO!!!
