Need Help Feeler for LED Pricing Hey everybody, I need some help and opinions as well. I'm sponsored by "Company X" with some cool lighting and they want to know about pricing for selling their products. Would $20 a foot be asking too much for colored LEDs? Of course they still need to make some profit and are open to opinions and suggestions. I can't show the designs of the LEDs just yet, but the pictures show how bright they shine. Here's a few pictures of my car with the LEDs installed under my car and it's waterproof. The last picture is of the lights during the car wash. Also, interior lighting will be a bit cheaper and the design for the interior lighting is different than the exterior lighting. As soon as we can get some installed in my car I will post pictures of it shown in the interior to give you all an idea. Also, we are working on interior LEDs, trunk LEDs, and engine bay LEDs which will have different prices too. Thanks. All the opinions and help are appreciated.
They did. It's hard for them to try and decide on a price and also make it a cheap and affordable mod while still trying to make money. lol!!!
I'm afraid you need to put more info out about them, (how many LEDs per foot, colors available, ect...)
Have they checked to see if there is a market for them? Is so, than they should have some idea of what the going rates are. Personally, they'd have to pay me to put that on my car. Definitely not for me.
I'd be worried... they actually produced these and don't have any idea what the market will bear? Best case: you have a better product that can be made cheaper and you sell it at the same of barely less than your competitor. Once you grab a market share you jack up your price over your competitors ... because your product is better.
I guess I worded that really badly. I'm definitely not a marketing guy. lol!!! They have checked out the competitors and will most likely have their prices a little bit lower than their competitors. They have the big set of LEDs for undercar or anything else which are 30 LEDs per foot. They have little blocks of LEDs that have 9 LEDs per foot that could be used in places like the engine bay, interior, or trunk. Colors available now are white, amber, harley orange, red, blue, green, purple, and yellow.
Not trying to sound degrading, but the pictures you posted don't show the lights in a good way, IMO. That being said, when I had a set of Streetglow lights on one of my earlier cars, if I am remembering it correctly, they cost me like $150-175 for the whole set. 2 6's and 2 4's. Even factoring in shipping, that works out a lot cheaper than the $20 per foot of these...but they also were not LED's. So I'm not sure how much that helps or not.
