this is a little heads up for anyone dealing with fan issues. if you have an early build lx, and are experiencing trouble with the fans, specifically the low speed fans not working, check the pigtailed relay on the fanshround assembly. i recently replaced my entire fan assembly because the low speed operation was not working, only to find they still did not work!!! took apart the relay on the shroud and found the center pin completely melted!!! replaced the relay and all is good!!!
I figure he's just milking it. if you want it done you gotta... There's 2 of them. Which one is the low speed relay? Top or bottom. (If I'm not mistaken, really early builds had them mounted side by side vertically and more towards between the two fans than over here on the passenger side??) hmmm, maybe those are just the connectors?...
'05 and into '06? Wasn't it late '06 and into '07 when those aren't even on the shroud at all? (and I think maybe those are just the connectors...)
first - camera was not with me when i fixed the issue second - dave, your pic shows the plugs for the hi and low connections. the relay is the unit above it. it is actually a weather proof cover that houses the relay inside. third - "early" build is anything before jan - feb 06' i believe. look on the driver door for your build date. mine is 12/05. my car has the aux. relay on the shroud. most cars i see do not. it is the early builds to my knowledge that seem to run into this issue.
