Thinking about getting a dashhawk. I would like to see everyone's pics of where they installed it.

I have mine temporarily mounted here until I get it on the A-pillar. It's just a hair too far away to see and I have to lean forward and sort of reach over the steering wheel to reach the buttons. It's on the supplied bracket and the bracket is fixed to the dash with 3M mounting putty. I tried the temporary mounting tape and it didn't hold. Then I tried the permanent mounting tape (had to work up the courage to try that) and it didn't hold either. Yes, cleaned the dash with rubbing alcohol and everything. After a bit of direct sunlight and heat it just sort of comes off. The putty works great and allows for adjusting the angle for straight on viewing but it doesn't look the best. Even neatly trimmed to the bottom of the bracket.

I'm waiting for a pillar mount solution. Ideally with a standard gauge above the DashHawk on the pillar.

Don't they make a pillar pod mount that holds it and a couple of gauges, or do they just mount it to the gauge pillar one?

The same guy was supposed to fabricate one for the Charger, but is a mother effin flake. He has never delivered, so mine sits on the vent by the mirror. I'm gonna have to try your spot tomorrow Milan. Any tips for how you ran the wires?

Some company sells a rebranded version of the MSI DashHawk. They have a pod I saw for their truck unit that may be workable.
Does anyone know the name of the company????....Damn...it is on the tip of my tounge....

    Bingo....Edge Products

I think it's Autometer that makes a dual mount for a standard gauge and the Edge (which seems to work for the DH as well). They also make the dual pod (2 standard gauges) A-pillar for the LX's. Problem is that they only make the edge one for the Rams.

I think, functionally, I would rather have the DH above the standard gauge but I think it would look funny.

Looks good guys. I ran my cord along the bottom and tucked it behind the plastic shroud by your legs. Look ok, but it could be better. I wanted to make it look a bit discreet and the visibility is really good by the wheel. You have to get used to pressing the enter button on the bottom though since it's so close to the column.

The best "looking" one I've seen and can't find was a person who made it fit the ashtray. Harder to see in the day though down there but looked like a really good job.

Uh, yea? look up just a little bit from Milan's. Mine is in the same place with pretty much the same comments... It's just a hair too far away to read easily unless you are using a 2 pane screen or bar graph.

Oh, yea... I sort of remember Milan's perched on the column. I found the dual pod for the Rams. I think the Attitude is sort of the same size as the DH?

Exactly! I've been trying to find the answer to this question for months. Failed. I even called Autometer and talked to some guy to see if he could compare the pillar part (just the pod section in the middle -- not the ends) on that one to the dual pod for the LXs to see if the cross section is the same. No luck "We can't really see the actual parts since we aren't located at the warehouse and don't have access". One of our vendors said they'd look into it but I never heard back.

I can't remember of they fit over the stock pillar. I think they replace it.

I doubt the ends are even close. I was thinking if the cross section is the same,
    * maybe one could take just the section with the pods and fit it over the stock pillar.
    * take just the section with the pods and splice it into the stock pillar.
    * take the dual pod LX pillar and replace one of the pods with the attitude pod section.

Something like that. God knows what that kind of fabrication would cost.
We don't know if the DH would fit perfectly in the Attitude pod. Could be different dimensions.
We don't know how the Ram pillar differs from the LX pillar. Anyone have both? or live next to someone with the other?
