Does anyone know of a company that could be persuaded to make a forged version of the viper rims? for the LX platform
try talking to USW....... they have some pretty friggin sweet wheels they have one off'd for some members!!! pm sdcarguy.......
I've REALLY been wanting a set of 22" comp grey vipers, but theres no way in hell IM going to do anything other then forged on my car.
Do you do a lot of road racing Jon? Why do you think going forged is a must? I realize the strength of the rim is of particular importance, it's why I'm asking.
Forged....http://www.srtconnection.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2999 Cast...http://www.lxforums.com/board/showthread.php?t=98467
Yup, very good reasons why... Also, if you go a two or three piece, you will only need to replace the piece that is damamged, rather than buying the entire rim. Weight is another reason. My 22's weigh approximately 16 pounds more than the stock rims. That is ALL 4 with tires and air.
There are very few rims choices I've seen that I really would like have on my car. Foose nitrous rims = hate bolts around the rim. Viper replica rims = cast. Most of the forged options have the bolts or just don't appeal to me. If foose would make a 22" nitrous with no bolts and it was forged or the viper rims were forged those would be what I'd want.
Built to look identicle to the current viper replica rims, the staggered set.......http://www.lxforums.com/board/showthread.php?t=85071 but forged
Ok that website made me realize just how picky I am. Out of the 1839 rims they claim will fit the Magnum SRT8, I found only 2 rims I would consider. Those two rims are the ones I already listed in this thread and those two rims have the same issue I listed in this thread. Now if I had gotten a charger instead I found about 5 or 6 rims I would like. :wallbash:
Here is another site with a big wheel selection: http://superbuytires.com/v/Dodge/Magnum/2006/?diameter=20
