No I just data logged the the rpm and spark advance. As far as acceleration dropping off it felt like the brakes were comming on Another thing in common with the truck in the video. I also had raised shiftpoints with Super Chips maybe that is the cause of both our problems
You might try logging the following parameters. Knock retard (instead of the knock sensors) Spark Advance Throttle Blade Position RPM Vehicle Speed The Knock Retard will tell you if it pulled timing due to the sensors. Spark Advance just to see where it's at. Throttle Blade Position to see if the PCM cut throttle for some reason. RPM to see it drop Vehicle Speed to see if there is any effect there.
Well I have a 1/4 mile data log with KR and Spark advance and rpm but this one happend earlier than usual unless this was just a KR incident
Well we went out again last night for some more testing. Temps were in the low 40's. To make a long story short, it did the RPM dip but this time it recovered, surged and bounced the rev limiter and bye,bye new transmission. Got 3rd and 5th gear codes plus a few others just like it did on the stock tranny. THIS TIME we are having Shardon do the full Stage III transmission which includes parts off the Cummins turbo diesel added to the 45RFE transmission
When the first tranny went did it also have a high stall converter and have the same dip in rpm. If so when it blew what did the converter look like, did it burn out the clutches
First was stock tranny on stock stall and never did the dip, since then we did the stage 1 Shardon tranny with shift kit and 3000 Stall. This just happened last night have not had time to look at the tranny in detail. I did pull the tranny dipstick and it smelled fine usally when a tranny is fried it will be dark and stink but maybe the amsoil held up just not the clutches??
I'll report back, tranny is dropped and being shipped back to Sharadon so another month of waiting they are in Minnesota, I really think it was the Sun Coast parts used instead of using the CTD parts IMO Sun Coast is no better if not equal to stock
Well I was and might still, Andre is standing by his product but more than likely for peace of mind I will be, plus will also tell me from what was happening if it did do anything to the tranny or vice versa. I'd hate to spend another $1000.00 for the next upgrades on the transmission and fail to inspect a 500.00 TC
Wow that is cool so what is the difference between that one from HHP and the one from GSM. Also I wonder how long it will be till Diablo renders all of these things obsolete.
I remember when it came out in 2006 and from what I remember it didn't go over very big. It didn't raise shiftpoints for the 5.7 and it kinda faded away
