For anyone who has either KW 1, 2, or Mopar Coilovers. Do you feel the ride quality got better or worse? Would you do it over again?

    Paul,

The ride is MUCHO better. If I were to do this over again, I would get the V2's instead of my V1's.

    This is a MUST add-on.

KW2's here. If by "quality of ride" you mean a better sports-tuned suspension, then the answer is an unqualified "Yes". The ability to adjust them is a great feature (that I don't take near enough advantage of for the track). I would do it again in an instant.

I have the KW-v2's and would not hesitate to do it again. Ride quality is smoother and better handling. I know thats like an oxymoron or something, but true. The stock ride tends to get a little bouncey to me, the KW's cured that.

I totally agree with Rick. I was allowed to drive his sled after he got the coil overs and "WOW!" I will have coil overs shortly. Just not sure which one's, but any IMO are better than stock. Good luck, you won't regret it.

There is no such thing as coilovers on the rear. And the front had coilovers stock.

KW's provide a better ride, but they're the same old seperate spring and shock layout as stock.

    That is a classic!

As for the coilovers, what I've come to notice (I don't know the technical terms) is that, for instance, when you go over a dip in the road, a stock SRT8 kind of bounces A LITTLE... you go down, and there's a noticeable UP. The KW's... that down or up really doesn't exist. You remain on an even keel.

The ride quality (luxury-wise) is better. Yes. Better. Minor road imperfections are drastically reduced.

Didn't know I said anything about coilovers in the rear, Jason and Drew relax!!!!!!!!!! I could tell a big difference with the added sway bars and strut tower........Was that the only real difference between the stock setup and KWV2's setup, "DON"T KNOW!" Also didn't mention anything about the stock front setup on it currently. Again maybe written one way, read and understood another. :stars:

immo - BIG difference in ride quality. i would not say my kw v1's are "smooth" but they are not near as harsh as the stock set up. they absorb bumps without the jarring that the stock set up had. i have mine slammed low and the ride is still better than stock by a long shot!!! a must do in my book for any lx! improves ride and handling plus makes the car look even better with the lower stance!!!

What I heard was that new LX's will have larger sways and will be lowered 1/2 to 1 inch from the factory (meaning different coilovers?!)... read it in either Autoweek or in one of the SRT pamphlets they send us... so that info is from a decent source either way.

After seeing a couple 08's, I would have to say just the SRT line. I could be wrong though. lol
