Hey all, I am still kinda new to the Mopar world. I just got my 07 MSRT a couple months ago. Love the car. I thought that I read on the OC awhile back about the therm. code po128. I tried to do a search. Now that it is getting colder out in the great state of NJ. I have to clear the code atleast once aday. I really don't want to have to put the stock therm. back in. If you can give me any help on this....Thanks Ken
If you have a predator, clear the code with it. If not, pull fuse 11 in the engine compartment fuse panel for a few seconds. Each day after you start the car for the first time, let it warm up to at least 100 degrees. Then use auto stick to hold the gear lower until you hit 181. Once you hit 181, you can drive it like normal. If you do this every day, you won't get the check engine light and P0128 anymore.
PO128 - Coolant Thermostat (Coolant Temp Below Thermostat Regulating Temperature). 1fastsedan's advice on the warm-up procedure will take care of this.
Thanks for the tip....Pulling out the Predator every morning is just getting to be a pain....Thanks again
Let that baby warm up before hitting the pavement and you should be fine. It will also clear itself after 50 miles and proper warm up procedures.
