When I pull my intake manifold next time ide like to clean the inside of all the oil residue. Any recommendations on what to use guys?
How about Virginia 10? That's a great industry product. Personally, I would use Chlorothane, but it's pretty tough to come by.
:stupid: Just remember to remove the PCV valve and the map sensor. Take the bottom of the plenuim off and remove the gasket.
The map sensor is on the back of the intake. The plenuim is the area inside the manifold. The bottom is located on the bottom too. k: :towel: And these are for the placenta
Actually Dodge/Chrysler recommends using their brake cleaner and NOT to use any carb cleaner as it may do some damage. I use Amsoil Power Foam spray. 1.Remove your intake and spray some on a rag and wipe down as much as you can around the butterfly and around the blade (but gently) 2. With intake still off have someone turn the jeep on and hold the RPM's to about 1100 while you spray clockwise around the edge of the intake opening, do this outside the garage as black soot could fill the garage and at some point the jeep may bog down and die, just crank it back over and keep holding the RPM's and spraying until you feel that it is clean. 3. Re install the intake and take it for a spin, do a few laps around the block as the jeep may run poorley until it recalibrates itself then take it for a good hard drive down the HWY for about 2-10 miles. 4. ALSO check your PCV valve and the box that holds it this is also an area that can hinder performance and just replacing the PCV can help the box it sits in can be dirty and can be tricky to clean (i can provide details how to clean that)

Thats a great idea but knowing our luck it would change the intake inner diameter, the butterfly would get stuck and the nazi PCM would freak out:what: But your right it would make it alot easier to clean for sure
Take it in the shower with you Tony. Give it a good scrub down and you are good to go. lol These guys gave some great tips tony.
