Something told me to skip the car show today. Cold windy very windy! No sooner than I get settled in and doing my cleaning when I hear wham!. I look up and the tonnau cover from the truck next to me was laying across my passanger side. Oh shit! The wind had ripped it right off (wood and metal) and slammed me denting three places. I wanted to kill the owner till I realized he was only guilty of not thinking to tie it down just in case. I got his insurance info, witnesses and a written signed statement from the truck owner admitting guilt. But i worry about the insurance since it was at a show. Even if they do pay, matching silver steel metal flake will be next to impossible. Well at least I won first place , I'll stop rambling/ venting, boohoo whatever:furious:
Damn man sorry to hear that. Hope everything works out for you. BTW It was windy as hell here too. Crusing home from the wife's office the wind almost blew me into the truck in the next lane, lucky for me he did get blown over 1 lane.
Well that fn sucks Howie!! I mean I can see red and it wasn't even my car...but a friend's car nonetheless. Perhaps you can get something extra from insurance. I think you have to look into how forces of nature play a role in your insurance coverage. I've heard stories where a car got destroyed by a falling tree and their insurance gave them a hassle. Very sorry to hear bro. I'm glad you weren't hurt in any way though.
Well that just sucks Howard... Glad you weren't hurt. As for the matching of the Silver Steel, should be no issues. Any good paint person can match it.
