Okay, now that I got my ventilation problem solved

    http://www.srtconnection.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13736

I'm looking to fix some of the other little nagging things that are bothering me. I'm a stickler for having everything NAILED down when I'm driving, because there's nothing more irritating than hearing a mysterious flap, slap rattle or ping when you're hurtling down the freeway in a two-ton brick of doom! That and it ruins the sweet sound of my Zoo-Hammer combo and my assorted zany ipod tunes...

So, those triangular plasticky things in the corners of the windows. The little rubber strip that goes around them has started to separate and of course, makes an annoying chorus when driving faster than say, 15 mph. I've thought about just pulling the rubber bits off, but then the whole thing might fall off and make it look worse. Any suggestions on who might sell replacement triangular thingies?

I have more things I want to tweak, but for now, that's it. Thanks in advance for your thoughts, comments and crude innuendo(es). :bigwink:

If they're anything like the 300C C pillars, the rubber/foam piece isn't attached to the plastic. Its just sandwiched in there when they tighten down the nut in the back. If you can find some glue with a fine tip applicator, I'd just glue the edge down and see if that helps. If that doesn't work, then you can try the new ones but over time I think you'll find the new ones will do the same thing.

Ah, C-pillar! Ok. Hard to sound knowledgeable when you say thingie...

Okay, the carbon fiber ones are very tempting, wonder if I can get approval for the $99 from Marc. Hmm...

He's just trying to confuse you. It's a plastic thingie (or window trim?). What it's *attached to* (partially) is the C pillar. Pillars are what holds the roof up. You start at the front and the ones on either side of the windshield are the A pillars and then the B pillars are between front and read side windows and the C pillars are the back ones. A, B, C get it? Not so sure about wagons... we got more pillars.

Thanks Dave, I knew this stuff. Just suffering from brain fog late at night. I'd be more incensed by your smart alecky post if I wasn't prone to making similar smart alecky remarks to close friends and family. Thankfully they forgive me and haven't killed me yet. :flowers:

I did a thread about these back in 07 I think... they took a picture of it and replaced it with the 07 models one that is one solid piece (no rubber piece). I think it was on the Charger forums.

Got the pillar covers installed and now the seatbelt buckle housing/receiver thing on the front seat passenger's side cracked. I think my car doesn't like Marc because it only malfunctions or does this crap when he's riding in the front seat. Guess I'll ask about it when I get the oil changed in a week or two.

EDIT: Bubble thought.... FIVE-POINT RACING HARNESS

There's a thought. Don't they have those ones that you can use either way? 3-point or 5-point depending on what kind of driving you're planning on doing?

Yeah, I figure since I prefer to use the car for performance driving when it's not the mommy-taxi, maybe I could swap front seat belts and replace the driver side belt with a performance set up. Marc gripes, I can blame it on him breaking the belt in the first place.
