*disclaimer - this does not count driving the SRT*

So over the past 2 weeks or so I have decided to see what toning my driving style down a bit would do for gas mileage. Some of the things I have adjusted are:

    - Slowed the cruising speed down by about 5mph or so
    - Eased into the throttle from a stop (at a light or something) instead of taking off
    - Tried to coast as much as possible
    - Built up speed and gave it as little throttle as possible up hills
    - Didn't drive like a lunatic passing people and craziness haha :shifty:

So for the roughly, i dunno, 500 miles that i have been testing this, I have picked up so far 3mpg on average. so over my 20+ gallon tank in the Ram (this is done in an 05 Ram 1500 SLT Quad Cab 4x4 w/ the 5.7L HEMI) thats what? 60 extra miles per tank. Not a huge amount but it adds up i suppose.

Started off this test with an avg of about 15.2mpg in the truck, I got out of my truck this AM avging 18.5.

If I can cut down on the amount of gas I use driving to work every day. MOD MONEY! hahahaha

More mod money is always nice.

So lets see 60 miles per tank, at say 1 tank per week? 60x52 = 3120 miles / 18 MPG = 173 gallons of gas at $4 per gallon = about $690 per year.

Oh, phewf, Stevo, when I first came across this thread I thought you were gonna go all tree-hugger, enviro-sensitive on our bumbocities...

Glad it's only to save money for mods. Besides, I don't think that a Tilley hat and Birkenstocks would fly as you step out of any of your rides, man.

After having lived in VT for a while for work, if i can 1000000000000000% guarantee one thing...its that the word "hippy" and "stevo" will only be used together when referring to me when describing my hatred towards them hahahahaha
