    Answser;
    The 5.7l engine is 348 cubic inches (roughly) or 43.5 cubic inches per cylinder.
    For each crank rotation 4 cylinders take in air or 174 cubic inches total per rotation.

    Volumetric efficiency is how much air actually fills the cylinder as a percentile of atmospheric absolute potential = 90%. Yes, while the engine is running the cylinders are always under a slight vacuum.

    @6000 rpm (((6000 x 348) /2) x .90)) the engine consumes 939,600 cubic inches of air

    The AIRHAMMER has roughly 400 cubic inches of internal volume. The air volume inside the AIRHAMMER is consumed by the engine in roughly 2.25 crank rotations.

    60 seconds = 2349 AIRHAMMER volumes
    39.15 AIRHAMMER volumes per second or 1 AIRHAMMER volume every 0.0225 seconds

    So in one eye blink (roughly 1/4th of a second) the engine has consumed 11 AIRHAMMER volumes at wide open throttle.
    AIRHAMMER HO = 480555 Cubic inches a minute or 1201 AIRHAMMER HO volumes per minute or one AIRHAMMER HO volume every .0499 seconds @ 5000rpms

    I said all that to prove this:
    The air does not remain in the intake long enough to gain any real amount of heat from the intake or the under hood air.
    You cannot get an air temperature lower than what the ambient air temperature is.

    Given the massive amount of air that our engines consume, air FLOW amount and quality is FAR, FAR more important than air temperature. Ice-cold air is useless if the engine can’t breathe properly. FLOW is king, heat is secondary.

    Not to mention the AFE and Mopar cannot touch it in looks (unless painted after the purchase)

    But LegMakers looks freaking amazing, and the engine scheme is great.

    The Volant, if I remember correctly also showed no improvement over the stock airbox.
    The WARHAMMER is still in the design phase.

    AFE's one for the Jeep came out probably two months back. It was dynoed at GSM. Scott told me he thought it was a pretty good product. I don't know how many are running it though.

    i really think if you dont your not getting a realistic reading...i mean you can have totally different testing conditions from one day to the next...

    HAMMER AUTOMOTIVE INC. is prepared to donate $500.00 to the organizing group to make this happen as well as supply all our products for testing.

    Make what happen? The Eastlake Queertette is a well established and time-tested organization that has conducted countless comparison tests on SRT8 modifications: suspension, brakes, predator...

    I agree, except I should get the War Hammer, and the others can be the random sample/lesser beneficiaries.

    BTW: If I make a decent guess as to what the War Hammer is, or at least give you all a heck of an idea to follow through on, will you grant the EQ the rights to this test?!?!
