Ok, I'm bout ready to get one of these things but someone I know mentioned that these things have a problem with oil "sweating" through the 1/2 heater hose lines after some time. Is that right?? He replaced his lines with pcv hose and said all's good now but still, that seems like a basic problem that shouldn't be. I don't want to buy the kit and have to immediately mod it. All you guys with the BT catch can could you chime in? Appreciate it, thanx!!

(btw, I did search, sorry if I missed this somewhere else)

I have one of their very first catch cans. Its been on my ride for almost 10k miles, including track days, and I've never had a problem. I think their kit comes with fuel line now instead of heater hose too.

It has nothing to do with the catch can they used hoses that were not meant for a prolonged use of heated liquids so most of us just got our own SS braided lines like from Mr.Gasket I got the Shadow Series lines the can itself is flawless

scott - the kits are coming with better lines.... trust me, after spending a few hours cleaning out the inside of a manifold that ran without a catchcan, you would be shocked at how much oil collects in our manifolds!!!! the catch can is a MUST HAVE in my book!!!

I would definately do what C Love did on the bottom part and make the elbow before putting on the braided hose line it was a PITA without one and puts a kink in the line. The braided line is hard to cut as well I think there is a video of showing how to cut it using a shissel (sp?) and a hammer to properly cut it without using tape around the area to be cut and then pulling back the metal braids to allow the end to mate with the AN fittings

This may be off topic, but I've never had a complaint about Ryan as a catch rag.
